Targets for RF

I am relatively new to informal 22LR rimfire target shooting.

I purchased a Tikka T1X a couple of months ago and I am having a lot of fun shooting 1" dots at 50 yards from a bipod and rear rest. I'd like to refine the process a bit more with some form of target for scoring. Can you guys recommend something appropriate for 50 yards. I am not seeking to get into competition, just recreational target shooting. Thanks.

Try glueing aspirins to some cardboard and coloring them red with a marker. Takes a solid hit to make them go poof...... It's a real challenge on a breezy day at 100 yards. And reactive targets are always fun.

That's an "aim small miss small" exercise that'll definitely help develop your technique.

There are seven printable postal match targets for the William Buck Memorial Postal Matches located at the link below. All are printable on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and you can submit your scores each monty.

Shotgun hulls make a good fun target. Fill em' with water.
Actually, did that with my best friend back in the 60's at our makeshift range in the woods using an old hand me down Mossberg 22. Lots of fun but current range rules allow only paper targets.

That's kind of funny about, "only paper targets" because when I shot
the hulls back in the day, they were all made of paper.....LOL
