A Lil bird told me I'll be working on 1 of your creations in curly maple.Model 1 from Carvermaster if I remember correctly.
It works well, but certainly has it's quirks. Like most things, you learn as you go and most issues can be worked around.

That's looking good.Dark Cherry - base coat of Bright Red, Med Brown and Black. Followed by a coat of Copper (1:1 Bright Red/Brown)
Id probably layer this with more Brown for a muted "classic" look, or hit it with straight Red as I sanded up through the grits to get more pop.
