Tack Driver Showdown Preregistration form and rules

wrong again young man.

I have a rifle in mothballs I would like to shoot.
but silly rules designed to imped precision with no benefit should be questioned.
start with a level playing field.
almost 2400 miles one way, do not want to be a designated looser before I show up.
Hahaha, the only people showing signs of fear are the ones finding excuses to NOT show up and shoot...

It’s a shame you won’t be there to grace everyone with your winning personality. I’m sure you will be missed.

"This is to create some excitement within our shooting family , no matter what organization or discipline you compete in regularly. We have enough people trying to take our guns and cause problems in the world right now. It's time we put our differences aside and come together and ENJOY a friendly competition with some of the best shooters in the nation. if you think you fit in that mold 11-14&15-2020 in Orangeburg ,SC is where you need to be! Who has the most accurate rifle? PRS? Long Range benchrest? Score? Group? F-Class? AR platform? your grandfathers hunting rifle? EVERYONE is welcome and we will do everything we can to ensure anyone that wants to shoot can compete. More details to follow. Thanks JC"

Sometimes, Mr. 50, things just are not about the money. Perhaps I do have some delusions of grandeur, but you know what Jack, I'm going down and have some darn good fun with my Buddies, and hopefully make some more!

ps: stick around this site for awhile, and read the posts AFTER THIS MATCH IS DONE.
sometimes, things are just not about the winning. Mr. Cline has already posted, this is to be a FUN match, and I intend to do exactly that.

Just bring your most accurate rifle that you own I'm sure Cline will accommodate you no matter what you shoot and just go and have fun. If your not planning to attend and have negativity towards this shoot then you need to keep your negative opinions to yourself. Someone is finally doing something to put a shoot together and there is always the few people who never had any intension of going who are saying the most and are crying the loudest.

It's quite a while between now and the November match. There is a chance that some rules may be changed or modified before that time. Just a suggestion for future events, if you want something changed, going on a public forum and stirring up a stink because you have a problem with the rules is not likely to put you in good standing with the folks who work pretty hard to put on a match like this. If you are old enough to refer to another poster as "young man" you should be old enough to know that. I don't know Jim that well, but I do suspect he can be reasoned with on some things. I doubt he can be pushed very far at all. Too bad you won't be joining us for the match.

Rick

Guys this post was created to start some excitement and promote shooting a “different” style match. Please, If you have something negative to say call ME 843-957-6546 and don’t be a keyboard bandit. I will be happy to discuss any rules and the idea why we think they are important for THIS match. Thanks Jim Cline 843-957-6546

Guys we have recruited an AR shooter that is calling out all other AR's! Mr. Mike Nagengast or "rsmithsr50" has sent me a PM after our conversation and will be joining the party from Arizona! He said he wanted other AR shooters to show up and see who wins. Good luck to him and let's see what the callout brings!

Hey, Mr. 50, Sorry if I was a bit curt on my first post. Please sir, when you get to the range, be sure to look up "Purple Haze". I would like to shake your hand, and lets start over on making this friendship. I am glad you and Jim had that conversation and will be joining us for the shoot.

...and Wayne, aka Purple Haze, is about as nice a person as you will ever meet. I believe his post to be sincere and that you should take him up on his invitation.

200 yd. target at 300 yds. ............................AT ORANGEBURG. OOOoooooooooooooochild!!
You should come to some groundhog shoots here in Pa.,lots of them shoot a 1 in ten ring clear to 500 yds. One of them has no sighters. This sounds like fun shoot thats being planned, wish it was closer. Good luck to all participating.

Jim
Unlike others these are not negative questions.

1. 200 yard IBS group target?
2. Sighters during the 7 minutes?
3. Moving backers?
4. Stationary backers?
Good luck. Sounds like fun. D

Was excited when I read the original post. It said no weight limits. Now I print the rules and it says nothing over 22 lbs. I’m confused.

1. Yes we will be using a 200 yard group target as well
2. 7 minutes on each target. you can shoot all the sighters you want in the sighter target only.
3. Most likely not
4.TBD but most likely yes
