I recently had two pairs of Swarovski binos go back for service. The 10x42 SLCs are over 25 years old, never had an issue with them but I felt like they need a check up so sent them in along with a pair of 15x56 SLCs that my niece had knocked over on a tripod, the result was a shattered objective lens on the left side and the body was slightly bent on the rim, they went in to see what it would take for a repair if they could be repaired.
I gave them a call. A live human picked up the phone before it rang twice. I explained my issues and she emailed me the info and instructions to return them which I did.
They had them for about 4 weeks. The 10x42s got a routine check up, they replaced the eye cups and lens covers, they look new now. The 15x56s with the shattered objective lens and bent rim was a different story. They quoted me 242.00 to fix the damage, I about fainted. I was expecting a much high dollar quote to fix, less than 250 bucks wasn’t expected. The fault was totally mine. Ok, I authorized them to proceed, they did and both sets were returned to my front door well packaged and in like new condition. I spent some time last night using them the last hour of light and everything looks great.
I have a multiple pairs of Swaro binos and two spotters. When others question me about paying Swaro prices I take a lot of comfort knowing that they aren’t only some of the best glass to use in the field but they are covered if something happens like a niece tipping over a tripod. Poor kid felt bad too, the look on her face when she saw my face said it all. lol.
Anyways, customer service and product support that good deserve mentioning. Solid company, fantastic products backed by fantastic customer service and a warranty they honor. Gold star for them!
