Perhaps I used the wrong Anti-Seize but the copper in it it brased itself to my crown screwing up my accuracy until I re-crowned.
Never again, but there is no reason to use Anti-Seize anyway, which is designed to prevent bolts from getting seized due to corrosion. We don't have a corrosion problem, we have a back-pressure problem, which forces carbon into the threads. Anti-Seize isn't going to stop that any better than any thick grease will.
Any heavy, high-temp grease works fine, and you don't need much.
My first was a QD, but they have their own problems. Since then I have bought only direct-threads, and they suit me fine. It takes me very little time to switch a DT from one rifle to another.
