To me the NRA’s ship sailed quite some time ago.

Just my opinion but with the end of the tax and quick application processing the impetus to change the law has faded. We don't have the numbers to force this through congress. There was a bill in the House during Trump's first term that went nowhere. That was when Donald Jr, a gun guy, was involved. We have no one on the inside now.
