Some 6mm wildcat ideas

I’m looking for some wildcat ideas I shoot metallic silhouette and I’m looking to design potentially the best silhouette cartridge possible. I’m looking to come up with a cartridge that is light recoiling while being balistically efficient at the ram bank (550 meters) we need about 1,100ft lbs of energy at the ram bank to reliably nock them down the 6br and 6dasher are pretty popular but I’m looking to make something g better than them both.

For the game of silhouette you need a cartridge that has enough energy to knock the rams down reliably which the 6br does to an extent and the 6dasher does to an extent. On paper the 6dasher is one of the best cartridges for silhouette. But I want to come up with a wildcat that will give me more performance and energy to knock a 55lb steel animal off the rail at 550 meters

I necked 6.5x55 brass down and ran a 6br reamer in deep. I have never competed with this round, but I have taken a few deer, coyotes, and prairie dogs with it.

Back in the day, several people played with the 7-30 waters necked down to 6mm. If I recall it had very good energy for rams at that yardage out of a 16" barreled Contender or a?? I don't recall the offical name for it but it looked good on paper. Or it maybe a 7-TCU necked down.

I have a 6x45. Not sure what kind of energy it would have at that distance depending on what weight bullet you choose. I went light for varment use

One of the guy's that shoots the VBR steel at Ridgway Pa. shoot's
the wild catted 6mm-450 Bushmaster. It does knock down them
heavy coyotes at 1000 yards. Overall all, it's probably as long as
the 6gt, but a bigger boiler room and can utilize the slower powders
better in a long barrel. He shoots the 17lb gun class......For a general
idea, the busmmaster case is about the same as 284 Winchester being
that it has the rebated rim. I wild cat and shoot this cartridge in two
of my versions. I keep them in 7mm......In the pic is the 284 Winchester
and my shorter versions, the SA284 and 284-ELF. The ELF would be
real close to the 450 Bushmaster......This would work good in my opinion
with a heavier gun, but as was mentioned, The 6gt would be the easier
route......And on another note.....Necking down the 6.5x47, or just going
to a 6XC.

I was thinking you were the King of short fat 7mm wildcats?

Didn’t I read a few threads about you shortening a 284 case?
