The small town where I grew up and still work, had it's moment of fame last weekend with a couple bus loads of bozos from the city "come to protest".

Radio talk show host Lars Larson mentioned it on his show the other day, saying that 50 or so protesters arrived in Klamath Falls to protest, and were met by a couple hundred local citizens, many of whom were well armed, and intent on protecting local businesses. I've since talked to a half dozen guys I know who were there, and part of the "citizen militia". Below is a Face Book post from a local business owner describing the party. I've deleted the names to protect the -- well you know.

"As the owner of XXXX XXXXXX for the last 24 years, I have never felt a threat to my business as I did last night. Antifa had announced that they were coming to Klamath to protest and riot on Main Street and to take their performance to the court house of which XXXX XXXXXXX is only a block away. With the numerous windows in my bar, I knew it washing to be a sitting duck. I called XXXXXX Security to stand guard to protect the windows. To my wife's dismay, I then grabbed my shotgun and headed to the bar.

To my amazement, as I turned onto Main Street was the large barrage of Klamath residents swarming the street carrying Shotguns, ARs, rifles, and pistols. There were law enforcement in abundance also. Antifa didn't make it to the court house, and my bar had no incidents. Antifa walked into a hornet's nest. It was like a sixth grade football team walking into the Oakland Coliseum to take on the raiders. Anyway, Antifa made their protest with very little physical confrontation, but that was it.

Thank you Klamath Falls. You make me proud to live and do business here." XXX XXXXX

I've also heard of a few other small towns who have had similar occurrences, and successful suppression and so far no violence. Let's hope that it stays that way. It would also be nice if the lame-brain media would give kudos and credit where it's due. But that of course prolly aint gonna happen. jd

Must be great to live in a city like that!!!

It was sure a great town to grow up in. I literally hunted ducks and pheasants in the city limits, and trapped muskrats in and around the river that flows through town.

Population these days is around 22,000 I think. Got so big that I had to move to a little town south of there -- population 2000. :)

Klamath Falls has always been kinda wild, and used to be a big mill town. Had probably thirty sawmills of varying sizes all around the basin. I was part of the last generation of mill workers from the hey-days of that industry. The eighties happened, and just like that-- the spotted owl was more important than thousands of jobs in timber. jd

Coeur D’Alene,Idaho had a similar experience couple days ago. ARs on 16”centers up and down the streets. Turned out pretty peaceful and VERY polite.
These folks are very well funded and I have an inkling suspicion that violence and unrest are the goals. Not necessarily anything else. So remember to keep it legal, polite and non-violent through the legal show of a defensive demeanor ;)

jds, A young lady called Rush Limbaugh`s show from Oregon and described the action in that town. The more people respond this way the better off we will all be. We can`t leave this group or any other rule the day. I pray this bunch will fade away and take the virus with them. Jeff

This bunch is not just going to fade away. It is well funded and organized by those going all in to overthrow our government. The politicians, many who have bought into this ,control to a large extent local police. So, armed peaceful citizens need to stand up for our Constitution, its under attack, or role over and we will become Venezula. We are on the edge right now.

How it went here in western Pa. was a little different. There was to be a handful of busses coming in to screw with our town. They sent some scouts ahead to check us out and found Main St. lined with LEO & a large wonderfully armed citizenry sitting in lawn chairs & on their tailgates.....They must have thought better if it.........No Show..........GOD Bless America..

Regards
Rick

thankfully, i have not seen any activity of such in our area either.. the vid i posted is where a friend of mine lives..

It is a felony to cross state lines to commit crimes, and funding that activity. Many in these groups are using stolen vehicles/plates, observe and document and forward to law enforcement(FBI and local). The citizens of this country deserve and should expect peaceful protest, that includes NOT interfering with traffic and commerce.

JD,
I went to collage in Klamath Falls at Oregon Institute of Tech back in the 70's. I enjoyed the area very much. Beautiful country.
I am very proud of the citizens of Klamath Falls. If the politicians of these large cities had any back bone this hole thing would never have happened, but that is different discussion. The Oregon Militia has made it's stand against tyranny many times in the past, against anarchist and the socialist politicians.
Sadly Antifa is well rooted in Oregon, from Eugene, Oregon north. Very sad about that as I want to return to Oregon where I grew up for retirement. But won't let them stop me.

Protesters/hidin' badguys/armed citizens .. Whoo Boy... Too many ways, too much can go wrong, really quickly. Please be super careful out there. I have a head full of old truisms I want to say about all this. "you are no better than the company you keep" My fav. was from my Grandma after she got mugged. "Michael, you keep your hands clean" I did 40 years protecting my own store from bad guys. I miss my job, but the conflicts, I can live w/o the drama. mikeinct

I'd like to say that I'm a CCL holder, and think that most armed folks should be. That being said, I've never had much respect for "open carry". I always thought it was kind of "show-boat" behavior, and often sends the wrong message.

I guess this proves me WRONG!! At least in these cases, open carry sends exactly the right message. This is exactly the kind of Armed Milita that our constitution was meant to guarantee, and protect.

More than ever, we need to be active, and realize that we are being scrutinized very carefully by folks, some of which are having a shift in their beliefs, and coming to our side -- and others who seriously wish for a disaster or incident to make us look bad. jd

Open carry in response to an active threat is certainly legitimate; doing so as a statement of bravado does nothing for society.
