I have when, I lived in China for 4 years working for the company. I also saw pictures of the whole street on the right side of TS as you face The Forbidden City lined up with burned out APCs, trucks, and a handful of tanks.

You will never see any news from China that they deemed not to the best interest of the state. The same way you will never know how many people died there from the pandemic. There are no bad news from China.
well if they destroyed all that hardware sounds like it went good for the people. how did they do that? remember we were lied into the Iraq war. we do the opposite in US make a major event out of nothing like WMDs and the COVERT -19 lockdown

Is not the Constitution the LAW of the land ? Is the 2nd amendment not part of the Constitution ? Is that not the right to carry a firearm ? The politicians have attacked the 2nd amendment for years with criminal background checks and what ever they can dream up in their state legislatures. To change the Constitution does it not take a vote of the people ? A Constitutional convention ? The Constitution and its Bill of Rights was created to protect the citizenry from the various levels of government. Correct me if i'm wrong. They sidetracked we the people along the way.
It doesn’t make sense to most of us because we have morals and a conscience. The people with the despicable objective to harm our country and our freedoms aren’t like us. They’re evil. Everything they say and do makes sense to them. They ARE evil to the core.

Coeur D’Alene,Idaho had a similar experience couple days ago. ARs on 16”centers up and down the streets. Turned out pretty peaceful and VERY polite.
These folks are very well funded and I have an inkling suspicion that violence and unrest are the goals. Not necessarily anything else. So remember to keep it legal, polite and non-violent through the legal show of a defensive demeanor ;)

ARs on 16" centers... I like that idea! Talk about a picket line!

So Evan what is your suggestion to this scenario?
I think what the folks in your town did was a great way to handle it. Coming together to show a unified front in the face of rioting and looting is admirable and it prevented the whole disaster before it happened. Nowhere in that story did somebody shoot someone else for breaking their windows and stealing their merchandise.

I don't know for sure, and it is probably a little different for different jurisdictions. Castle Doctrine isn't universal in this country. I don't want to make a lawyer rich trying to keep me out of prison for "misinterpreting" my rights under the law.

You did not answer the question. The reason no one got shot in this town was because the show of force kept the peace. You can bet your ass without it a lot of those store fronts and businesses would have been destroyed just as in other towns.
I'm not for killing people but I am for protecting my family and property and my town. If every town showed this show of force this shit would stop. If once the first brick was thrown level everyone that got off of that bus and I guarantee the next bus and the next bus will not get filled by "peaceful protestors"!

I would say that what you term evil is actually ignorance tending toward stupidity. Ignorance in that these young white middle class kids who make up antifa never actually received an education. They know absolutely nothing about the outcome of previous attempts to implement the form of government they advocate for and they know nothing about what is going on in Venezuela. And they most certainly have not read Animal Farm. Stupidity in the sense that should they receive an education, they may still advocate for the same thing. The west supplied its fair share of "useful idiots" to Stalin and there were plenty here in the US advocating for what was going on in Venezuela. Those who did have gone a bit quiet now that the worm has turned in a direction we all knew it would. Guess they should have read Animal Farm as well.

I'd like to say that I'm a CCL holder, and think that most armed folks should be. That being said, I've never had much respect for "open carry". I always thought it was kind of "show-boat" behavior, and often sends the wrong message.

I guess this proves me WRONG!! At least in these cases, open carry sends exactly the right message. This is exactly the kind of Armed Milita that our constitution was meant to guarantee, and protect.

More than ever, we need to be active, and realize that we are being scrutinized very carefully by folks, some of which are having a shift in their beliefs, and coming to our side -- and others who seriously wish for a disaster or incident to make us look bad. jd

I live in Montana. Open carry is not uncommon here at all. No one pays it any mind. That said, concealed carry is regulated within cities, towns and mining camps. That means more than 95% of Montana is Constitutional Carry! I would prefer to carry concealed within the city, but I detest the idea of having to beg permission to exercise a natural, and Constitutionally secured, right.

In a case where rioters are known to be on the way. I think every civilized member of the community would agree that responsible adults turning out with their long guns is the right and proper thing to do.

"Not in MY neighborhood, you don't!"

Nice going to the folks who had the backbone to stand up and be counted . At least there are still some people in this country who haven't been turned into gut-less sheeple . I live in Arizona . We have both Constitutional and Concealed carry ; and we also have a CCW permit available . My wife has her CCW and I "Open-carry" when I feel the need to . Which has been pretty often , lately . We also have the "Castle Doctrine" law here , which means simply , I have the right to protect life , limb and property , against any invasive or threatening behavior with whatever force I as the "Castle" owner determine . Simply put ? You come through my front door un-invited , at any hour , to threaten a member of my family , rob , pillage , or do destruction ? Bring your own body-bag with you . Rather be judged by twelve , than carried by six ! Didn't spend my time in the Nam to be taken out by some punk-assed wanna-be , tryin to make a "Rep" with his commie thug buddies . Screw em all , but six . We'll use them for pall-bearers !

The looting and riots are planned events by opportunists that needed a real protest to act off of for their agenda. They are a very small percentage of the population and they are terrorists. The larger population can and should stand up to these groups as in Klamath to stop them. That takes organized preemptive action, not reactionary violence. If we let them start a riot and then shoot them, they've won - that's a key piece of their agenda: to make us the murderous bad guys.

If the mere threat of accusing you of some supposedly amoral action is enough to prevent you from taking that action, then they have already won. I don't worry too much about what liberals accuse me or anyone else of doing. They're going to do that no matter what you do. And if you do nothing at all, then they'll just make stuff up and accuse you of doing it. As I stated originally, that is the whole reason for standing shoulder-to-shoulder with your neighbors, armed to the teeth and ready to do whatever is necessary to prevent the riots and looting from ever happening in the first place. That IS a preemptive action.

In Coffeeville, Kansas, the Dalton Gang tried to rob two banks at once. Citizens grabbed their rifles and put a sudden stop to the Gang's plan. The townspeople didn't "cower in place" and call the sheriff. They took action and defended their town and property.

In the spirit of Coffeeville, God bless Klamath Falls! May there be more cities and town after their example.

Well Said, Ned.

You are 100 % correct. Our state and national politicians have shown they either A; support what is happening because they want to change our form of govt and are using the unrest to do it , or B;Do not have the political will or guts to do it(Sounds a lot like the Republicans). So the other problem is too many who know what is right and wrong just want to pacify and hope thins will get better....dream on. I was surprised to learn the .bulk of antifa members are young white males. But since they have been indicrinated for the most part with 12 to 16 years of ultra liberal education.....what can you expect.
You missed option C: A large number of politicians and bureaucrats on both sides of the aisle (the deep state) are heavily invested in the status quo and see a turn away from government control as a threat. They are therefore willing to ignore/encourage lawlessness in order to confirm the government's hold on the populace.

Nikita Khrushchev in a letter back in 1956 said "We will take America without firing a shot,we do not have to invade the USA we will destroy you from within".THere is no consequence for any ones bad actions anymore.Spare the rod spoil the child, that's not refering to just litttle children lol. When I was going to school the teachers would jerk you up and bust your a$$ if you needed it now they want even let the teachers talk rough to the kids anymore and we are reaping the benefits of it now.

Wash you ears out with this. Last night went out for brats with my family and my sister and brother in law. The place was full and not a mask to be seen. On the way out to the ball park, observed my first protest. Several screaming, portly, white women, couple of black men, and some teenagers, all had masks. I smiled and drove on without incident. The ballpark was packed (my crude estimate of 1000 plus people of all races) and everyone I saw was happy to be there. Grandpa spent the early innings in the dugout spitting tobacco juice. Then on to the play ground with my grand daughters, one of the special moments of life. Then back to the game. My sister from the suburbs of the twin cities sent my uber liberal sister in law, also of the twin cities, a picture of the stands, with the caption "Wisconsin beer kills the corona virus". Life is good here in fly over country. Zero communist masks.

Glad to hear you got out with the granddaughter. Happy to hear the ball park was open. We have been doing one grandchild a week for the last 4 weeks. Not much to do here in Pa all the fun spots for kids are closed but it is real nice to have them after not being able to see them for 2 months.
