Yup, it's called peace though strength. The sad thing is the local CdA paper has an opinion section and quite a few objected to the armed citizens helping the police. Goes to show that unfortunately the "progressives" are metastasizing everywhere.

I'm about 30 miles north of CdA and I carry this on my two mile round trip walk/bike ride to the mailbox.

Interesting article. The armed citizens were there because of the rumors antifa planted about coming to small towns and they were determined to protect their community. The BLM protesters were suspicious and seemed afraid of the armed citizens. The police chief said while most citizens who open carry do so responsibly, he was concerned about an accidental discharge.

Everyone was wrong. No antifa, no gun safety issues. Never forget that these protests and riots are being inflamed by those who seek to undo us as a nation.

Here is the part of the news story we need to remember:

If these politicians, who are not talking about de-funding Law Enforcement, have their way and do so, just think what and how criminals will take advantage of that..

REALLY... Looked it up on Google earth map. Sheeeh it must at least 800 miles from Seattle. Protect it from what ? There is not even an intestate road that runs thru it.
I would think what you saw was a D day invasion memorial.
