Slow shipping

Every single mailed item or UPS or whatever is slower than molasses on a zero degree Alaska morning. This will be the norm for a while to come.

Ordered a couple of new jags from Dewey and received them in a couple of days. Now if my **** grocery store could keep Chile Flavored Ramen Noodles in stock. Bought a case over a month ago and have not seen any since.

Most of the orders or sent items, I have dealt with the last couple weeks have been good. However I had one item/funds to a poster I bought from, that USPS must have used a real snail instead of the pony express, as it took over 3 weeks to make it from Ca. to the east coast. And that was just a envelope.

I ordered 2 aerosol cans of People Seasoning from Amazon Prime on 4/3. Will be delivered 4/24 maybe, so much for Prime.

I ordered a Solar Charger for out at the Range on Sunday and it came today. :) But I only live about 4 Miles from the Local Amazon so probably not a good example.

Purchased some brass from another member here , and it came on time as stated by USPS . That was Washington state to Az. , so both on the west side . Tod Hendricks is a great person to do business with . If he has a item for sale that you need , he has my vote as a five star Seller . :D:D:D

I've had no problem until today. Customer bought a rest top and I shipped on the tenth of this month. Said he hasn't received it. It arrived in Pittsburgh on the 12th, says it departed the 12th. Next was the 16th saying it was in the system and in transit.
My postmaster said he would try to find it and notify me tomorrow. He is short on help.

I bought some 357 SIG brass from a longtime member here. Sent the Bank Check USPS in a letter on the 15th. He just got it. Brass shipped this morning with a tracking number. It will be interesting to see how long THAT! takes.

I'm waiting on bullets that I purchased from a wholesaler on gunbroker 4/11, email I rec'd said I can expect a 3-14 day delay while they search their inventory because of a 400% increase in business.

Pretty much, yeah.

Carriers short of help, way beyond the old 'normal' amount of packages being shipped.

Be awhile yet before we can have any confidence what we're faced with is the NEW normal.

OTOH I ordered a boat trailer kit a week ago yesterday. Got word it shipped from factory last Thurs. FedEx truck pulled up ~ 60 hours later, dropped the four boxes off.

YMMV.

Anybody else seeing shipping coming to a halt? I bought a Remington 700 trigger from a guy. Sent him the money on March 30 and he sent trigger on April 4. Neither of us have received anything.
Just curious as to whether I wait a while or buy another trigger.
My latest Amazon prime order is estimated at 3 weeks

The "News" keeps telling us that the USPS is about to fold up. Wonder if Nan and Chuckles are tossing some cash their way, while they're doling out the pork? I'm on a U.S. Army installation in South Korea, and we rather depend on the U.S. Mail.

trump won't sign a bill giving the USPS even a dime. Something about not wanting mail in voting I bet.

The USPS failure to deliver on a timely basis is their own fault. They are trying to keep from hiring any more help, except the scab partime crew doing about 25% of the work. They mostly work inside the PO. Many can't pass the FBI Background Checks, so they dance around that by using them 23 hours a week max. At least in Idaho, God bless our right to work state.

In five days last week, the mailman hit our box by 9am two days, by noon one day, and the other two were after 4pm. I ask the guy why the seven hour variance, and he tells me that they can't hire more full time help, so every day somebody takes off, sick leave or vacation, they split their eight hour day amongst four carriers, and each gets two hours OT. My two four pm days were because they have to deliver the day off guy's two hours first.

I do not see it getting any better, ever...

I've shipped abou 25 boxes in the last 35 days. Sizes varied from a few ounces to chainsaws. All shipped USPS Priority and all arrived as scheduled.
