Budget Remington 700 single shot build
I bought an old Aluminum Chassis from East Ridge for cheap a while back.
Found a Remington 700 HB 308 action, someone else stalled project, large knob, extended Picatinny rail and Timney trigger already installed. Now all I have to figure out is the scope, I have couple of older target weavers and a Redfield. I'm pleased kept the total at around $600 w/ the scope. I have to source some screws, I can't find the ones I have. I think I can jet some screws at Ace Hardware.

Congrats on putting together your rifle on a budget! Looking for all the pieces is half the fun. As far as that chassis, I don't think even @Bc'z could make that look good.

I agree. It's so weird looking, it sat in my shop since 2015. It's one of those situations where it's so ugly, you end up liking it. I've been saving for an Eliseo Rig, and decided to build a single shot with this chassis in the meantime.

It's black, that must mean it's one of those evil black rifles you hear about on the 6 o'clock news. Be careful! Aw just kidding, looks to be a shooter for sure. Have you had it out yet?
