Slow Dasher Load

Hello All

At the range today and ran a couple of 107SMK's over the crony to check on speed, to find that they are only running at 2886. This is with my normal 33.2gr of Varget and molly'ed SMK's,barrel has a fair few rounds through it, but accuracy is still good, seems slow ?

Seems slow for 33.2gr ?

Any advice from the Dasher Guru's ?

Thanks

How many rounds through the Gun? Maybe the throat moved and you need more powder. Is it a new lot of Powder? It could be lots of things. Maybe bad chrono readings. Matt

Hi Matt
Also should have mentioned barrel length which is 28",
Barrel has 1500 rounds through it so well and truly in need of a setback, I've chased the lands to keep them at the seating depth but yes throat has moved out. Could be slow varget as well, still shoots well just thought its 100 fps slower then it should be !

I think it's a little slow for that amount of powder but I don't think it is unusual. The 6's seem to lose velocity with less use than a lot of other numbers do. I know the PRS guys that shoot 6's go thru barrels pretty quick. They usually push them fast and shoot the quick and I hear the number 1200 as "shot out" a lot around that crowd.
