My youngest is pretty tiny for her age, i had to look up a height and weight chart and look at to put it in perspective both to convey my point and satisfy my own curiosity on where she stands physically. The average 12 year old girl is just under 100 lbs, when i was a kid 12 was the age to hunt. Now its 10, she will be 10 in march so she can hunt next year. She is just over 50 lbs which puts her in the bottom single digit percentage wise for a 9 year old (never mind she is only a couple months short of 10, maybee she will hit a growth spurt) that said, she is freakishly strong for her size, she came on a wilderness canoe trip with me and carried her pack up and down the trail and never complained and she will do pull up after pull up until you are tired of counting them, she has been in gymnastics since she was in preschool and does well there, but i am thinking we will put her in a blind with the rifle on a trigger stickIn many areas of the world where children are raised to do more strenuous things than play video games, or their phones, the average twelve year old wouldn't bat an eye at packing an eight pound SKS into the hills to slay whatever he or she might find.
