Sinclair Catalog- Lets all e-mail them!

I placed an online order with Sinclair with a follow up phone call asking for a new catalog. Nice lady told me a new Brownells catalog would cost me five bucks since Brownells took over Sinclair. OK.
In the Brownells catalog there is NOTHING from Sinclairs old catalog. No reloading, NADA!
So I called Sinclair again and was told they were thinking about a new catalog but it was still up in the air since the powers that be feel that the online catalog is sufficient.
So why don't we all light the fire so to speak and let them know that they'd sell more from a catalog because I for one would always end up spending more when I leafed thru the catalog.
If enough of us get their attention maybe we can get the great Sinclair catalog back even if we have to pay a couple of bucks for one.

A catalog is pretty much a waste of paper for me anymore. I do 90% if my shopping on line and the other 10% in person. Back in the mail order days catalogs had their place. IMO, they are becoming a thing of the past.

It’s just so much easier to jump online and for product research and price comparisons.

Well, Danny, I think you have your answer right there. To further the point, stores are going out of business or going online only for all the same reasons. It's the sign of the times. So, hop into your Uber self driving car and go to some windowless warehouse and pick up your order.

I am ok with online only. Where the paper catalogs are nice is just to see what they have. As an over all showcase. Not that they cause me to order much at all.

I wrote them a few times on that subject , no answer. I miss the paper catalog, leafing through it to find what I was after always resulted in me seeing something else that I eventually added to the list. When I go online I just buy what I'm after. Undoubtedly others have probably added some extra things while using the paper catalog. I think they probably lost some extra sales by cutting out the paper catalog. IMO

Maybe I'm just old. I really enjoy the catalog. Most of my equipment was purchased as a result of paging through a catalog. Online catalogs work fine for if I know exactly what I want. I still look at old Sinclair catalogs. Several times only to find out the product I wanted is discontinued.

The Sinclair catalog cost me a lot of money, still have 2015 A & B. I suppose the same amount of money is still spent placing another order, always forget crap when doing an online order.

I also really liked the catalog. Good browsing/reading over morning coffee or in the crapper. One thing the catalog had that was very helpful, was the Tech Tips they included about neck turning, neck sizing, etc. Good stuff you just don't find on line.

I used to order from Sinclair about every two months. Since no catalog, I have not placed any order at all.......

the change to paying for the catalog occurred years ago. i think that getting one mailed as a dealer from the shot show was the only exception.

I miss both catalogs, used to really enjoy reading about the many related tools, methods, etc. some - that I had never heard of - to learn.
I will say, online ordering is very easy, and most shooting online companies have great websites. If you want to see a
really impressive paper catalog, check out graingers :)

also, many sites, like brownells etc, have ratings, comments from actual users,
and the ratings are usually very helpful and accurate. sometimes recommending
NOT to buy. I review products often, to chip in-helps others + the co.

I’m a mix of old school and new. I love making purchases online and not having to talk to a person on the phone.

On the other hand, browsing online frankly sucks. Searching is fantastic; serendipitous finds while browsing, not so much.

Plus, the catalog doesn’t require a charged device! ;)
