Sinclair Catalog- Lets all e-mail them!

My 2 cents:
1- I like to browse through a catalog when I have a few idle moments, NOT gonna browse through an online store
2- As others have said, I find things that interest me in a catalog that I would most likely never see in the online store.
3- I actually like/prefer to call and speak to a real person. Has the advantage that I can get their name so if/when the order gets screwed up I have a contact. Case in point: When I bought my Sig Kilo2200 I could have ordered online from Cabelas for $350. I checked SportOptics.com and theirs was $400 (they actually do have a good website). I have been happy with SportOptics in the past so I called them (I have always called rather than placing an online order. Have gotten good service and advice.). I still paid $400 for it, but by calling and talking to the guy there, I got the rangefinder the next day, no shipping, no sales tax. That is the kind of customer service you won't get with an anonymous online order system. Maybe it is just me, but I still like the personal interaction.

Yes, I am computer literate and can navigate the internet as well as most. Yes, I do sometimes research things on the internet and occasionally find new and interesting things that way. For my recreational interests, I still like a paper catalog to browse.

I am a catalog guy. About 75% of the stuff I buy is from Brownells. I sat all winter, comfortably ensconced in my heated power recliner watching TV and leafing thru the catalog.
+1 about Brownells. We don’t have heated recliners where I live, never even heard of that!

I also live in n area with spotty internet. I never throw away a catalog. I find it handy even when the internet is working here, to track the price changes on items I buy regularly. I make the point with every order that Brownell's should add a section at the back of their catalog for the items we get from Sinclair.

They (Brownells) probably never want to here from me again following my less than favorable review children's home merry go round of oops shooting stool.

FWIW - I don't want to be responsible for a catalog - just like everything else, I'll forget where I put it. When I need something (usually weekly), I'll search online. Brownell's is NOT very intuitive nor user-friendly. If I can't find what I looking for and I start cussing, I go to another online retailer. Its on the retailer to make it easy for me to find or they lose business. But please dont send me your flyers or catalogs or sundry crap.

I looks to me like their catalog is free! All they are asking is to pay for the shipping. Brownells has done a great deal for our sport by offering products in one place and some hard to find items. Of course it rubs every one the wrong way when we have to pay for some thing that was free. If they offer the catalog for free, you can bet you will still pay for it. The world is changing fast IMO.
