Sinclair Catalog- Lets all e-mail them!

The Sears and Roebuck and JCPenney Christmas catalog that used to come out every year when I was a child helped me to spend my mother and father‘s money for them very easily. I think that a catalog in front of the customer may induce a person to buy something they may otherwise not. I am sure the think tanks have figured it out that they can save money by not putting out the catalog and I don’t doubt this. It was sure nice to anticipate the arrival of a brand spanking new catalog in the mail twice a year and wonder what might be new inside it.:(

I play solitaire on my phone when I... uh... drop the kids off at the pool so no need for catalogs. It's so much easier to find what you need online.

It does not help when the Brownells/Sinclair website search function can't seem to find half the items I am looking for! One of the worst online catalogs in my opinion.

Brownell's online site is GARBAGE !! Total pain to use. I like catalogs

I agree 100%. If they don't want to print a catalog, then at least polish up that turd of a website.

I placed an online order with Sinclair with a follow up phone call asking for a new catalog. Nice lady told me a new Brownells catalog would cost me five bucks since Brownells took over Sinclair. OK.
In the Brownells catalog there is NOTHING from Sinclairs old catalog. No reloading, NADA!
So I called Sinclair again and was told they were thinking about a new catalog but it was still up in the air since the powers that be feel that the online catalog is sufficient.
So why don't we all light the fire so to speak and let them know that they'd sell more from a catalog because I for one would always end up spending more when I leafed thru the catalog.
If enough of us get their attention maybe we can get the great Sinclair catalog back even if we have to pay a couple of bucks for one.

"...Lets all e-mail them!”

Wouldn’t it be better to suggest everyone all write a letter, spend money on an envelope and stamp, then walk it down to the post office?;)

Yep, I'm old school to and I miss both catalogs and the discount from Brownell. Now you data is all over the place from social media, and you be loosing you bank accounts , so you don't need to worry about it....... we came a long way and yes you can ride in the driverless uber...... maybe kill a few on the way to the windowless warehouse..... jim

as said:part numbers,I know what I'm looking for, easier to put numbers in the search section than to be frustrated with a site,,best thing about growing up was the
Sears & Roebuck Christmas catalog,in a 5 kid family it got a workout!!

now how the heck that face get there, don"t have that

of coarse sinclairs is brownells now and they are both located in the same place. i wonder why they even seperate the two when calling. I still have my sinclair catalogs and they were always a great reference to me. it wouldn be so bad if brownells online catalog worked at all buts its so hard to find things and so unorganized i dont order from them anymore much at all. i have paid the annual fee to get free shipping or otherwise i wouldnt order from them at all. i cant see why a company like brownells cant do much better with their online presence. Pete Brownell should be working on this instead he is not paying attention obviously. if brownells would just put a sinclair catalog inside the big book that would be great. i receive junk mail from them often trying to sell something and i just toss it. they have sent out mini catalogs on different things in the past why not a sinclair catalog. ill try to email them.

I understand the harsh economics of printing/mailing catalogs and it's hard to beat the convenience and efficiency of online ordering. But I never linger over the computer with a cup of coffee or an adult beverage and wonder what else I might need or want. This probably saves me money, but it seems like something beyond "printed media" is being lost.

I have to laugh....the fact that they say there is no catalog.....then, when I call them to place an order, they ask me for my customer number on the back of the catalog!!

Kafka could write a great story with that. Pity he's gone. Heller's gone too, so I dunno who's left.
