Show off your '16 builds

Not a new build, yet, but new to me. I will be replacing the barrel soon with a new Shilen HV SM 6PPC parrel. I have a couple of barrels with lots of life left in them. I fireformed 3 cases 3x each (hawt loads) to get some dies made. All 9 shots literally went into the same hole at 100 yards. OK, I will admit that there was ZERO wind that day but hey, so far it is a shooter.

Hall S action, Jewel trigger, Lapua prepped 220Russian/6PPC cases, Winchester SR primers, VV133 powder, OLD Berger 68gr FB bullets. This is truly a shooter.

Love the Lacewood. I had Joel Russo make an A5 stock (.308 Win) a couple years ago using Brazilian Leopardwood, which is a very close relative of Lacewood, but slightly more dense. At the time, he couldn't find Lacewood boards large enough for the project. Anyhow, great looking rifle!

Two good looking guns Stan. I hope they shoot as good as they look. I also hope to get to see you this summer. If things turn out right maybe I can make it to Harry jones. Matt

Spear of Destiny .284

Speedy SOP in Dark Walnut with all options
Straight 284 - .320 neck with .215 free bore
Bat M, Right, Right, Left eject
1-Kreiger 1:8:5
1-Kreiger 1:8
1-Brux 1:8:5
Bix-n-Andy Trigger
Nightforce Comp on NF rings

Stevens Accuracy did the metal work and Speedy/Tommy Shurley did the stock work. Breaking barrel's in now, and it's showing a lot of promise. Still trying to make up my mind whether to hit it with another coat of tung oil and leave satin, or put a clear over it. I was torn on whether to install the RAD system, but after shooting it, I know that I made that right decision now. It was well worth the extra money.

That is a beautiful piece of work

First step is to rob a bank :)...then give Speedy or Tommy at Shurley Brothers a call. I can't say enough about how great they are to deal with.

Sweet Jimmy ! I love fine wood. Don't spray that stock, rub it.

The old school for satin finish (coats)

Once a day for a week
Once a week for a month
Once a month for a year
Once a year for life

Once you go wood Jimmy, you will never see another pretty stock unless it's wood!

Stock is a Speed Spear of Destiny, made by Shurley Brothers and Speedy. Contact Tommy at Shurely brothers or Speedy and they will set you up. In the gun industry, very quick turn around times as well.
