Hi Adam. Will the system be shipped with all the ICFRA target profiles?
SSSAA (Sporting Shooters Association of Australia) 500m Fly??Yes, ICFRA, NRA, DCRA, IBS, etc. all the standards I can get my hands on.
There’s no ability to attach a thumb drive. You can take screenshots of the targets and share them or offload the extensive amount of actual data in a CsV file. Our club is installing these for next season. I was wondering if I can just plug a thumb drive in after each relay and copy the data to take home? I guess I might need the software on my home computer. Is that available?
I agree, I believe the only changes I can see in near or distant future are software and firmware upgrades, there’s already been some. My advice to SWRichmond is if you can afford it now go buy it, it’s a great tool to improve your game and a lot of fun to use...There’s not a lot of room for improvement as far as I can see so far.. besides I think it’s very affordable for what your getting and if there ever is a #2 I would think the price will increase rather than decrease,...we will see but in the mean time I’m liking the Shotmarker a hell of a lot..As far as early adoption goes, I bought my shotmaker as soon as it was available to improve my shooting more than just paper targets. I can now practice 600-1000 yds without needing pullers, without driving back and forth and the feedback allows learning on the spot. But that’s me. If and when a better version comes out I will accept the depreciation on the one that I already bought, sell it and buy the newer model and continue enjoying and improving my shooting along the way. I’m not going to put off bettering my skills simply because I’m waiting for better technology than what’s out right now. Everyone has a threshold and admittedly I have the discretionary funds to do it. Others don’t and that’s ok too.
On a side note, knowing what Adam is capable of and how he designs stuff, he makes simple but long term functional and easy to replace hardware. He also packs a ton of room for software and firmware upgrades so I’d be shocked if his kit changed all that much other than updates to improve the GUI and user experience. But that’s my guess, it’s as good as anyone’s.
Is it possible this very desireable product (electronic target) is about to exit beta and release an actual gen 1.0?
All you early adopters will continue to enjoy their Exidy Sorcerers, I am sure.
Go, gen 1 adopters, work out all the bugs. I anxiously await the arrival of the low cost and highly reliable gen 2.0.
I am betting gen 2.0 is about 18-24 months out and is already being designed by this company based on their experience with the manufacturing process, to be tweaked based on operational experience with gen 1. Price point $499-$599.
Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong.
Signed,

Shotmarker hasn’t had any issue with that for me. Shotmarker won’t even register crossfires across the target. But I know my buddy’s Solo has issues.
