Shooting Sports Proper References and Grammar

I totally understood what he was saying but others were upset because he didn't use the terminology properly. What phrase or misuse of words sends you over the edge. With me its when someone talks about having a barrel "spun up" Its like fingernails on a calk board going through a really poor amp system with a lot of feedback. tell us what is the worse.

When your FB is being overrun 99.9% of the time the coordinates and terminology are correctly used when calling for air support. That .1% is sickening.
For both parties.

Spelling! Yep, poor spelling really get’s on my nerves. Proof reading only takes a moment.

I would rather read what fellow shooters have to say rather than critiquing their grammar.
True, it is often tedious trying to decipher some of our fellow poster’s ideas, but that in no way should discount a valid point.
We all have our short comings.

Many of us know some skilled craftsmen who write as if they never got past the 8th grade.
That in no way deducts from their success in their chosen endeavor.

Yeah. Well I thought the OP was referring to grammar/spelling, not content.
I’m not critiquing anyone. I’m answering the OP inquiry.
The guy is now gone (thankfully) who thought Alzheimer’s was humorous. But newer acronyms I struggle with.
For those who even give a shit FB is a fire base.
Probably had to be there to appreciate it.

I think grammar and terminology is important, especially when communicating about firearm related information.

That's why caliber and cartridge should be used correctly.
Seriously, we're on a reloading forum.

Also, 'yeah' means yes. 'Ya' is Canadian for yes. Lol.

I hate it when someone tells me they're shooting a 6.5. 6.5 WHAT?????
When they tell me a 6.5 Creedmoor I really want to scream.

As a former "FLO" ; I didn't have any problem when I saw the FB . Just made me smile . And for those who don't know , a "FLO" is a Foward Laison Observer . In simple English . They call and direct Air and Artillery strikes . If they even use that "term" any more .

In my time the term was FAC
Forward Air Controller
I think we’re referring to the same thing, maybe different times.

Agreed. I write quite a bit at work and sometimes at a high level. Being clear and concise is important to me. Grammatical errors don’t get on this cite don’t get me the least bit upset.;)
