March scope review

Enjoyed the technical aspects of telescopes design and the review. I learned a lot. I've been looking at a March for about a year and now know substantially more that will help me with my decision. :) Who donated what to whom when added nothing. :(

Thanks for the kind words, gents.

I had a lot of fun writing the article and doing the research beforehand. It was very gratifying to see that my analysis yielded the desired results so decisively.

Scope selection is a difficult process at best and without instruments and laboratory settings comparing them by eye and memory is futile at best and misleading at worse. As I said before, riflescopes are all about compromise and there are rules that cannot be broken in an optical system. The first rule is you start with whatever amount of light your objective lens lets in and it only goes down from there.

I've also been experimenting with filters on my riflescopes in an attempt to deal with mirage and such. That will have to wait for another time.

Thanks. Read your experience, thanks for posting it.

That said, I will still stick with Nightforce.

Do you have any experience with March or have first hand knowledge of how they handle their business? Everybody has different likes. I had a 12X42NXS and it wasn't for me and I passed it down the line. Not saying it wasn't a good scope, but.
