Shipping Delays -- Purposeful torture? A plot?

A few weeks ago I bought a slick stock from a member here. He was awesome and sent it out USPS 2 Day. As soon as it was in the hands of the Post Office, it went into the same place every other sock goes when I toss it into the dryer. About 14 days later, after a skillful kick in the butt from a helpful post master in Tennessee, it came, in good shape. But for about 12 days I lay lanquishing in apprehension and anticipation...pure torture say I.

Last week I spotted some 2200 at PV. Quick I ran to the CC and ordered four pounds. Two days says the UPS tracker, it will be there by FRIDAY.

Then on Thursday, UPDATE...Saturday. Then today...Update...Tuesday.

It is a plot to put me in an early grave methinks. Pure torture. Worse than being a Labrador and having my master make me sit with a Milkbone on my nose till he says I can flip it off and eat it! I am thinking that there is a diabolical plot behind it all.

january 13th landyboy shipped me some 6.5prc brass.
March 10th I received the brass.
almost 2 months to the day.
He lives in Pennsylvania I live in Virginia.
Coulda strapped it to a box turtle and got it there quicker.

Postal Unions do not allow the firing of slow employees, nor those that are mentally disabled. If they come in off the boat, the post office will hire them. Fed Ex or UPS will eventually take over the post office.

It’s a big conspiracy to mess us up in the head and drive us all crazy. I do this: Order it and forget about it! When it finally comes, it’s a surprise! I just got some 6.5 bullets in 95 grain. Can’t remember when I ordered them but they came! Woohoo! Tracking numbers are just temptation to frustration!

In Jan I sold some bullets to a forum member, he mailed the check from his hometown in Virginia, it went to Richmond, then to Puerto Ricco for a couple of days of well needed sun I guess, then back north to Michigan. Weird.

Person I know shipped a shotgun to GA. Made it there and sat for a week, then disappeared.. They waited a week or so and filed a claim, shotgun came back as "undeliverable, no such address", the next day It was an FFL that they had talked to and verified the address

For Christmas, I ordered some green chile salsa from New Mexico. I didn't have to pay for shipping because of the amount I ordered. New Mexico to Virginia...Delivered on the 3rd day! Ordered some shooting stuff from less than half the distance the chile had to travel and it took 9 days!

Mailed out 5 bills on Feb 15th they still haven't made it to where they need to be . 2 of them were going to a city 10 miles from the post I mailed them from . But they get sent to Pittsburgh PA ,60 miles from here then sent to the other post office , that's real efficient .
When I asked the postmaster, she said they are probably lost in a warehouse somewhere .
Aside from the late payments our Bank wants $30 per check to cancel them . I guess I'll be a payment ahead when they finally get there

have just put a stamp on a plain envelope and saved a few bucks.

I received today a payment from a member on another board. He mailed it on 2/4/22 and the post office cancelled the stamp on that date.

No indication of why it was late.

Not until the Feds allow FedEx and UPS to deliver first class mail. I see the PO folks will eventually go on Medicare like the rest of us common folk.

Use Registered mail if you want it delivered promptly, I am told.

Last April, the day brandon said he was banning ar pistols, I ordered one. It was finally built and arrived unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago. Nice handy piece.

I had ordered a couple barrels back in Nov. '21, normal lead time, etc., as I was not in a hurry, etc. Came home and saw a long skinny white box laying on the porch. It contained one of the 2 barrels. A nice surprise. The email with shipping notification/tracking # arrived the next day.
