I have a large package I’m waiting for that the tracking says my item is in route to the next facility towards it’s final destination.
Background- left Bellevue wa. 7/3
made it to Billings Mt 7/9
So I’m curious as to what other fellas are experiencing.

It's like dealing with the government (you are) don't believe it until you receive it. Shipping anymore is hit and miss. Unless you pay extra don't get in a hurry to receive it, your going to be disappointed. I've come to expect delays instead of fast shipping anymore. They can blame it on covid-19 or something else and get away with it.

So far any orders I have placed at Midway or Midsouth, when they advise me, with in a day or two of the order, the order is sitting in my USPS box. However I had one item, shipped from another source that the tracking site kept telling me, in shipping to next shipping location/station. That package took four weeks to reach me. So I guess it depends on which shipping facility it goes through, makes a difference in the speed of delivery.

I had a package from Midway make it to the USPS distribution center in Greensboro, NC on June 12th. It finally made it to me on June 24th. How far is Greensboro? 20 miles!!!
Hilarious!!
I’m laughing with ya not at ya , just sayin:D

A lot of times when you order from Midway ETC it starts out wit ups or fedex. They show it delivered once it reaches USPS distribution center that accepts for the final delivery. From this point on it could take 5 to 7 days before you actually get it. Haven't had any problems when USPS handles the entire shipping trip.

And while not trying to be negative, Usually when a package is accepted by USPS and goes to next distribution center and is then reported as in Transit (without a departure scan) quiet often that package is lost FOREVER. While this has happened to me a couple of times have always had insurance and have always been reimbursed quickly.

NOTE: Friday July 3, 2020 was a Federal Holiday and a USPS holiday.

Given that, and Sunday off-day, the OP's package arrived in Montana on the 5th business day after the holiday, 7/9/2020. (Sat, Mon, Tues, Wed, THURS arrive).

Not great, but not crazy bad.

Is the issue that it is not getting from Billings to the poster's home?
