Give it a Rest...

No one is forcing you to click on the listing. I think you should let individuals decide how, when and why they want to list something and mind your own business. I’m sorry if I worded that strongly but you don’t know the financial position individuals may be in and the sale could be of great importance to them.

Dave.
This hit me right in the feelz. Haha. Been there, done that. Sold a lot of things during the pandemic that I didn't want to part with but almost had to. Grateful for those that bought my items.

This bothers me very little. I give my stuff and other folks stuff a bump up.

What grinds my gears, people that drag up an add that is years old and ask if is still for sale or an I will take it, use the dadgum PM and contact the person direct.

The same goes for those who don't know the difference between ad and add.

The funny thing is that fair market value changes drastically depending on location and even forum.

Ive listed stuff on large local forums for cheaper than I’ve posted on various national forums and it’s just sat for months. Posted those same things on different forums and they sold within minutes

The reverse goes too, some things are hard to acquire locally and those can easily sell for higher than on a big forum.

I agree. I’ve been watching one add for months and I just shake my head. I saw the same gun sitting in a local gun shop for months for a LOT less and asked the owner about it. He told me if anything breaks on it, you can’t get parts.
The oldest, most "prestigious" sporting goods store here is known for having snooty employees and serving the country club set. I found a Browning Gold autoloader shotgun in their used gun bin, but the price seemed wrong. I informed the guy behind the counter that it was priced higher than a brand new one at Sportsman's Warehouse. He peered down his nose at me and intoned "Then you should trot over there and buy it, shouldn't you?"

There is one thing that I have learned is true all over the USA, on craigslist, the forums, gun broker. If one is selling his stuff is made of gold, if he is buying every thing is crap.
