I used to be near Ithaca. I only go to NY for medical treatments 2x a year. I might be open to coming up though for this kind of fun. Is there room for old school stuff and amatuers like me?

I picked my day. But not my bench. Got one that wiggled every time I breathed. I learned more today and am very happy with my rifle. I will find a better bench next time. I won't win, especially in the BR class, but I loved shooting better, with a better rifle. When I was done a couple guys came over with all kinds of questions (public range and they were on "my" bench!). I had a few rounds left over so they got to shoot a real historic BR rifle and I think a whole new world opened up for them. So if anyone has a Bald Eagle they want to sell, I think a guy will be looking soon...

Just PM Scott Miller who posted it as OP. (It is pretty open to interpretation as I understand it...I shot a clone 40XBR in the original Dust off Your Duece as a varmint rifle. I am shooting a modified 222 Mag/6mm ...not quite a 6x47 Rem in this one, but it is an old HV BR gun from the 80's. So I am calling it BR class. Scott can classify your rifle with a description.)

Will I blow it on one target again . I have the barrel just tuching the the bolt face and that is a NO NO , something I'll have to fix , you can see it on the bolt face . Here is a couple pictures of my gun and my targets I shot today . 10/2/23 . Loads 18.2 gr of IMR 4198 and 52 gr FB Bergers , Federal primers. Targets will be in the mail sometime this week . On target N #5 bottom left target on the sighter target that is 8 shots .

Nice shooting ArtinNC! Some nice groups you shot. Match 3 will give your agg a boost! Why do we always lay down bugholes on the sighter. Never fails!
