Dust off your Deuce

I would like to thank Scott for sponsoring this event. I have never done anything like this before and it is as much about how well you reload as it is how well you shoot.
I have the luxury of shooting at a range in my friends woods so wind was not an issue. I have 3 222’s but l used the one l had built for P/D hunting. I didn’t set the world on fire, but it was a lot of fun. After all that’s what it should be about. View attachment 1464152
And the winner ISSSSS.......

On a old junky maple stock . Rifle Basic trigger , Weaver 24X scope , Brux Barrel 1:14 twist no barrel nut , with a tuner that I don't know much about . Picture shows a B&L scope but has a Weaver 46 X on it now .
Looks like my old “J” series Savage stock. Has a palm swell. I was told that there was input from Anshutz to compete with the Model 40’s.
First Savage I ever bought.
It came with a 223 Hart barrel. Don’t know what the original was. I swapped it out for another 17 Remington. It could very well get barreled to a 222.

Scott, I am tied with other procrastinators. I have had about half dozen irritating issues the last 60 days that have been like a rock in my shoe. Thank you so much for doing this. It is a fantastic idea.

I posted this on the other dust off your duece thread but think this is the more official one, and want to make sure I placed it on the official thread, so I'm posting here as well to make certain those who put in the effort to make this match a SUCCESS, get the acknowledgement they deserve for all the effort to make it top notch!

I just got a report and gift for participation from Scott provided by JSH, & I believe Free State Gun Co.

More work and effort I would not want to go unnoticed! Many thanks for all you're time and effort to make this a first class postal match! I don't know how you could have made it any more fun and enjoyable for us who took advantage of your hard work!

As well as a thanks to JSH, & the Gun Co, for the added souvenir, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU,,, to everyone who extended their good will, I owe you all!!

Again, a pleasure indeed to have participated in this FIRST CLASS MATCH!

Got my little "rabies tag" that says I participated and it is already on display in my reloading room. What a great gesture, thanks @JSH.
I didn’t have any empty brass was my excuse, all loaded for prairie dogs. Terrible weather this year, rain and lots of mud, still washing mud out of my truck.
I reached out too a few sources for something to those that participated. I had such a tag from a postal cast bullet match, had it on my key chain for years and finally wore through the hole and luckily dropped in my pocket. One of the guys had an engraving rig set up back then, lasers were something Buck Rogers used lol.
Hope it was not a bad chore for Scott to take care of.
My personal thanks to those chipping in on postage, that can sure get out of hand quickly.
Thanks to all that got stuff turned in. I always like to read what was used as far as equipment, gun, barrel, scope, powder, bullet etc.

Looked like IMR 4198 was popular.
I got all these tips from all, hopefully I can give y’all a run for your money next time ;-).

As a professional procrastinator, the rest need to knock the spiders and dirt dauber nest out of theirs lol.
