How do you know that.

I asked Ernie and that's what he told me. If I had to guess, you're looking at 8 to 12 months from date of order. Good luck!

If mine comes as of Ernie's latest update, my wait will have been 11 months.

Gentlemen,
Ernie is an honest & a true gentlemen. If he says you are #140 in the list, you are THERE. He doesn't have to show you the list etc as it would only make him more busy.

........
I will be leaving for a shooting match in Australia in a few days (Nov 7 - 16). About 3 dozen rests have been prepared for him, I will finish the goods soon after I got back home.

Thanks you for your understanding!

Update:

10 NEO has been sent to E, today. Another 10 on Monday.
Estimate delivery Dec 14 & 16. E will be away from Dec 18 to 31, so hopefully the rests can be distributed before he leaves.
Another 10 on Dec 28.

Only have a few machineries in my workshop....4 milling, 3 lathe, 1 surface grinding, 3 polishing station, a hobbing, plus some small machines, custom jigs etc. My team (8 people) work about 10 to 12 hours a day....several parts were sub-contracted before but we decided to machine most of the parts ourselves from last year because the result has been more satisfying (i.e. more precise, smoother etc...I'm picky for quality). Besides that, I can fully control the process & time schedule.

Some parts are made in a batch of 100 or 200, but some in 50 or even 25 - to speedy the work. (depend on the items & time needed to make).
NEO rest has totally 99 parts/items in one unit (several dozens are "big" items), excluding the front bag & several allen wrenches etc provided in the package. Only the bearings, rubber O rings & some screws that are not machined/handmade. That's why it needs a lot of time to make. I don't like shortcut myself.
That's also why I have policy to not accept deposit or payment before the rest is about ready to be shipped. In my opinion it is not fair to accept deposit/payment from a customer without knowing exactly when I can deliver the unit(s), as the list # grows almost everyday. We can only make about 250 rests a year.

Bags etc are a lot faster to make, as I have other team to make it.

My main business is not the rest making but interior contractor & custom furnitures... however I (will) always do my best!

Ernie tells me my NEO is in the mail. I am looking forward to getting it. I had a chance to play with one last weekend and it is very impressive.

I'm sure he's correct. :) I shipped 10 units yesterday (Saturday) and another 10 tomorrow.
You'll love it.

Seb, can you buy spare/replacement bags for the NEO through Ernie? Mine are fine, but I was thinking it would be good to have a just-in-case set since they are rest-specific.

Jay,
Yes you can. Ernie usually has spare bags and other small items in stock. (such as counter weight, wood ammo box & loading block, various screws etc).

Re: front bag.
NEO comes with standard 3 pc bag (adjustable). Optional 1 pc bag (fix, 3" or 2 1/4") is available too.
These bags are interchangeable.

Anyones received their NEO from the latest shipment?

Merry X'mas & Happy New Year To All,

I was about 115 4 months ago I wonder what number he is working on now,

a monthly update as to the number would let us know where we are on the list

Guys,

Please apology me to delete my previous post!

Reason is I still didn't talk with Ernie & Mike before this, yet.

It's my mistake!

I will get back to you later after we have confirmed all the things.

Thanks you for your understanding!

The rest is well worth the what. The rest is a mechanical marvel. The only issue I have I had to buy some washers to adjust (raise and lower) the forearm stop post.

I placed 1 to 2 washers between the bolt and the stop (underneath).

I shoot a lot of various rifles and some sit too low. For benchrest rifles I am sure it is not an issue.

It is shipped in a well packed wooden case.

Don

Hi Don,

Re: to tilt the stop up / down - for various fore end.
There is a small jam screw (allen headless) on the stopper arm/leverage that connects to the pivotal joint. Flush the end tip of the screw (counter clock wise) for down, turn clock wise for up.
Have you tried it?
Use one of the metric allen wrenches provided...the 3mm.

Note: As you know the stop is placed in the center of the rest top. In case the stop post is too high for your rifle/stock (i.e. touching your barrel), you can try to "offset" the side plates assembly to the left or to the right so that it will clear the bottom of the barrel.
Just a small "trick".
In your case, it sounds the stop is too low. Turn the jam screw CW for up. You can reach the screw form the bottom, or fold the arm vertically.

Gentlemen, thanks you so much for your supports!!! It means a LOT to me.

Another 10 rests & accessories have been shipped to E, two days ago. Should arrive in a few days.

I too got a call from Ernie yesterday saying my NEO is ready for delivery. I got on the list last April too.

I can hardly wait.
