SEB Update

My NEO fits nicely in one of Sinclair's Benchrest Travel Case #02-1714, listed at 99.95. All I dissemble is the one long leg (one screw), fold up the front stop, remove the joy stick and it lays nicely on it's side.

Sorry guys....
Problem is I can't raise my production rate at this time being.
The rest making is not my full time job, my primary job is interior contractor overhere in Indonesia.
I will tell you here that even my friend "M.R." (a HOF shooter that creates "E.R.A" book, he ordered two more rests for himselves) has to wait also, and he didn't/doesn't mind with the long wait.
Just for an example.
It doesn't matter whether you are a top shooter or not, all have to queue (in the waiting list) and all will have the same service from me!

Thanks you for your understanding!

seb.

PS: Once again, if any of you here in a hurry to get a coaxial rest, please consider to buy other rest such as the Farley or ShadeTree. (they are also great rests, I believe).
You can easily cancel the order, just inform Ernie, and that would be no problem.
As you know also, we do not ask/accept payment before the goods are available & ready to ship.

Hope this help. :)

No problem Seb. I'm willing to wait on the best and thats your rest. Keep up the good work and keep those rest comming in!

RJ is right, if the case is thick/deep enough what you need is only to dissasemble the long leg (one screw).

Shot off my NEO for the 2nd time yesterday. What an amazing machine. It delivers as much pleasure of owning/using as the finest gun in your safe.

I'm using a $23 lift-off lid plastic box from Sportsmans Warehouse with a sheet of 1" closed cell foam fit to the bottom and sides. I have to break down completely to get it in but that's no big deal.

That sounds like a good idea!

What do you use the plastic lid for?

Ha Ha Ha........I thought you were talking about putting closed cell foam in the three bags on the rest so it would shape to the form you wanted.

That went totally over my head.

But, thats not a bad idea actually. Insted of sand in the bags that sag to bottom, why not use the foam and shape to the form you want and just slide them into the bags? No more sags with the sand.....You just gave me an idea!

Nice tote box by the way. Protect that baby!

Up until last weekend I’ve only shot off the NEO using bench type riles with 3” wide forearms, but this weekend I had a couple of hunting rifles to sight in, both AR’s, so I thought I’d see how it worked with the round tubes. To make a short story out of it the rest performed great with the AR type rifles, much better than expected. The 3 piece front bag is a godsend. I found if you back off the tension screws on the sides, adjust the side block/bags in snug on the tube, tighten, then put a little tension in with the side screws it holds that round tube great. This system is far and away better than using a standard bag in the front. I tried many different front bag setups and never really got the rock out of the tube, but with this setup it seemed to work great, the tube actually tracked in the bag, so if you are like me and play with the AR’s from time to time you should be happy with the adjustable front bag design.

I have the same action packer box for my rest. You can actually pick it up at walmart for like $18. I reamed a few holes in mine and added carry handles. That way I can carry the rest in one hand and something else in the other hand.

Not to be too much of a jerk, but for an extra $5 I spent my money with a sporting goods retailer committed to 2nd ammendment freedom and hunting rights - as we all should.

Walmart doesn't get any of my $$.

The rope handles are very nice. A 6" length of garden hose in the middle of each might be worth trying.

This thread has gone to sleep so here's my NEO under my new 6 dasher drop port prairie dog rig

EDITOR: Nomo -- I see you may have set up rest as shown in photo because of limited bench length (front to back). However, SEB NEO default installation is with long leg in front, clearing out the rear completely for the joystick. As long as you're able to level the rest, there's no need for a rear-facing adjusting screw.

The end of April is getting closer, and my fingers are still crossed with high expectations of the NEO's arrival.........

Hi Preacher,
I shippped 8 rests to Ernie last week (delivered/arrived), and 7 more rests today, along with various of bags, cartridge trays, etc.
Trying to send some more rests in a few days.
Again, I'm sorry for the delay!

Best Regards,
seb.

Nomo4me, nice pic & rig there!

Are there any Canadian dealers for this rest?

Thanks

Unfortunately no. You can order from the US dealer or directly from me.
Thank you for the interest.
But for your consideration, I still have more than 130 people in the list (totally) and the number grows almost everyday.

I'm trying my best to ship some rests to E.B. before June 20, to be arrived no later than June 24. I was told that he will be leaving around the end of June for about a month.
10 to 12 units only (all NEO), the others are spoken for other part of the world.

Hope this help,
seb.

i did not have the patience to read all the post in this thred.
I have been thinking about a new rest and looking at some, then i seen the seb NEO and i think thats the one.
im not ready to buy right now, still have to pay for some chambering work and order bullets(im a poor fellow)
but think come spring 2012 i would plunk down my money for a seb NEO.
i hope i will be able to get one.
has anyone nailed down the price of one? in other words how much does one cost?

Cost is $920 with shipping/insurance to your door in the Continental US.
The waiting list for the NEO is around a 9 month wait.
So you might want to get on the waiting list now, if you want one in the spring.
There is no cost or deposit required to get on the waiting list.
You can email me at ernieemily@yahoo.com or call me 307-257-7431 if you want on the NEO waiting list.
