Thanks Seb for the good advice - all works great.

Hi Don,

Re: to tilt the stop up / down - for various fore end.
There is a small jam screw (allen headless) on the stopper arm/leverage that connects to the pivotal joint. Flush the end tip of the screw (counter clock wise) for down, turn clock wise for up.
Have you tried it?
Use one of the metric allen wrenches provided...the 3mm.

Note: As you know the stop is placed in the center of the rest top. In case the stop post is too high for your rifle/stock (i.e. touching your barrel), you can try to "offset" the side plates assembly to the left or to the right so that it will clear the bottom of the barrel.
Just a small "trick".
In your case, it sounds the stop is too low. Turn the jam screw CW for up. You can reach the screw form the bottom, or fold the arm vertically.

Gentlemen, thanks you so much for your supports!!! It means a LOT to me.

Another 10 rests & accessories have been shipped to E, two days ago. Should arrive in a few days.

"Ernie just called to tell me he has my Noe and it's ready to ship. I ordered it 4/29/11. Doesn't seem like it's all that long especially since I've waited longer for a barrel and way longer to get a rifle built."

Dave's right i have waited so long for a rifle i forgot the guy had it:)
I'm guessing mine might come in April or may. Never had a front rest before but took your guys advise
buy the neo and cry once!

Paul

Dear Paul,
You say that you never had a front rest before. That's surprising me, honestly!
It must took a big courage to get a big $$$ rest value for the first time. I do really appreciate & thanks you for your confidence in my front rest!
I promise that you will love your new rest! Even if you try some other rests and compare them all with your new rest. (side by side will be the best method...then you will find that your new rest is not really that expensive).
Keep my words,
seb.

*Here bellow several videos I found in youtube, only for your reference:

This is the newest one... 1,000 yds match, 45 lbs HG.

I will make one or some myself when I have time, to explain the details / how it work, bench setup & configurations, probably shooting point blank & long range too.

Update.

I'm in process with 70 NEO at this moment. (all spoken for).

I will have 30 NEO shipped to Ernie in a few days.
(then about 30 more units around late July, i.e. from the next batch. This will clear his old/2011 list).

I have 20 units for the UK dealer (Brian Fox at FoxFirearms).
5 units for Australia (Rob Carnell).
5 units for Germany (Christian Beste).
The other units will go to the South Africa, Canada, Brazil, Ukraine & Russia, Italy, Thailand etc.
No unit left.

I have to make one more batch (50 NEO) around mid May, to be finished around late July.
And probably one more batch of the SEB gen-2, for the last time. (after this, it wouldn't be longer in production).
Then I will start with the MAX (50 units). --- Actually I have promised to supply the MAX on August... so please accept my apology for you gentlemen in the list for the MAX!

Too much work, I really have to divide my time..... your supports & patience are much appreciated!

Best,
seb.

Will there be a Gen 3 or does this mean the Gen 2s are the end of the line? My Neo is an absolute joy to use. I've never been so pleased with a piece of machinery in my life. I hope others get the chance to own one.

I'm looking to upgrade from my mark 1 Seb rest in the near future to a NEO, but if there is a mark 3 version I will wait?

I just shot off my new NEO today for the first time. After an 11 month wait I must say that I do not know what Seb would do to improve it. It is so smooth and stable. Thanks Seb and Ernie.

Gentlemen,
I'm unsure/confuse with what you mean the "Gen 3"....where did you read or heard it, btw?

The "SEB gen-2" is the improved old SEB rest. They are same model & look, the SEB gen-2 is only smoother/better than ever. (Some people call the old SEB as "Mk 1" and call the SEB gen-2 as "Mk 2", but I don't).

Then the NEO. (Some people call it "SEB NEO"). NEO is not the SEB gen-2, they are different rest. I never called the NEO as "SEB gen-3", too. --- Until today, I can say that the NEO is my best made rest. I don't think I can make a coaxial rest better than the NEO. (If I can, it should be just 'cosmetic' thing, or with different base, no more). --- So my credits to anyones that helped/gave me valuable inputs during the development, without your inputs & critisms the NEO wouldn't be 'like this' now.

Re: the SEB Gen-2.
I prefer the NEO than the SEB gen-2 myself, although the NEO is more difficult and takes more time & more expensive to make. That's why I plan to discontinue the SEB rest after one more run next August. (the next run SEB gen-2 is only for people that have already in the waiting list). I don't accept order for the SEB gen-2 anymore, just the NEO, and the upcoming "MAX" rest. (the MAX is not the "gen-3" either. It's a 'big brother' of the NEO, designed for rifles with stock up to 8 inches wide).

Hope this answer your questions and remove the confusion,
seb.

You're right sir, it will be hard to improve the NEO as it's already 'almost perfect'.
Thanks to you too for choosing the NEO for your shooting needs.

Best,
seb.

Thanks, seb. The NEO is truly an excellent design a very well made. I also would have a hard time recommending improvements. Actually, the one thing that might help is some way to store the three Allen wrenches on the body of the rest. Not a big deal and easy to do myself, but if you are considering changes to the body design, storage for the wrenches might be something to consider.

I would like to see a microwave radar integrated with a fire control computer that would automatically correct my lousy aim.

Tony, I have thought about it before, but it's hard to keep the allen wrench on the body (or the base) without 'ruining' the look.

Can't complain. A lot of traveling but things are going well so far. Looks like the Academy is getting ready for Comissioning Week. Hope all is well with you.

Update.

(For the benefit of our Customers in the USA) --- I'm glad to announce that Mike Ratigan (in OK) is now the 2nd USA dealer for the NEO rest.
I think Mike needs no introduction anymore, he is a HoF shooter & the author of "Extreme Rifle Accuracy".
Mike will take order from benchresters only, he would forward the non benchresters to Ernie.

This is his contact info:
email: mike22ppc@yahoo.com
Cell 580-334-8426

Note:
The NEO rest you would get from Mike would be a bit different than my 'standard' NEO. --- It will be equipped with a counter weight, 'Remington shot' spikes (on the legs), delrin stopper (to replace the rubber O-rings), and probably shorter leveling screws.
For more information & pricing, please contact Mike.

Best,
seb.

We shoot 600 & 1000 F class and I received mine yesterday. One for me and one for my wife. We currently use the Farley Gen 2 rests. On first impression the joystick movement is ultra smooth and very consistant, no notchyness (sp) or stickyness (sp) and the movement is very light. The assembly was very easy. I will fill the bags tonight and do a living room set up. Shooting on Monday and hope to be very pleased. So I now have the rest, I have the rifle, I have the butt bag and have the load. ;) Bye, Bye excuses. Any problems after this is unfortunately going to be me! ;D

Seb,
Can you tell us current Neo owners about the counter weight and if it can be retrofitted to the existing rest
