Savage 221

I had my Savage 221FB out today , it shot pretty good . Last 5 targets were all in the 1's or less . If you had target in hand you could see target #6 and #7 there two bullets went in the left hole .
Wish I could get my 222 to do the same .

Art, great shooting there bru, and it appears you've also found the joy of a great shooting "221 Furball". Most likely one of the most unappreciated and underrated varmint calibers. Both mine (Cooper M38 & CZ 527) thrive on A2200 and RL-7 with 40gr Nosler BT's or Varmageddon's.

My local varmints fear these rifles. ;)

My friend really likes RL-7 for his FB . What kind of load do you get with A2200 ?? I have a little muzzel flash with the H335 That I don't really like .

My RL-7 loads are a bit faster and just as accurate as the 2200 load shown below:

With that Cooper M38 Phoenix wearing her synthetic/kevlar stock, it's perfect for work around the nasty lava rock which the chucks favor for their dens. I'm paranoid of gooning up one of my nice Carlo stocks on my other rifles, so the Phoenix gets most of the rockchuck chores:
