I have to agree with Rick in Oregon. The 20 VT will out perform the 221 FB hands down. I like Rick have also ownd a 17 Mach4 and a 221 FB but after building my 20 VT sold both my 17 Mach, 17 Rem, 20 Tactical, & 204. I did keep my 221 FB.

The 20 VT is a absolute joy to shoot in the P-dog towns, it a true 500yd rifle where the 221 FB is best suited for only 300yds.

One thing the Vartarg does excel at is even in a light varminter, recoil is extremely mild - which usually means you can watch your bullet impact on your target even at 300 yds. plus. I have owned or own .221, .222, .223, .222 Mag & .22-250 rifles and all usually will lose sight picture much more than the Vartarg.
