Rich Young Man at Gun Store

I went in a local store in Tulsa today and in the parking lot was a VERY nice Lamborghini. Anyway I made it in, asked the owner for the scope base screws I was needing and jokingly asked him if that was his car out front. He just smiled. Next to me was a guy in his early 20's and had a stack of "stuff" in front of him. One NIB rifle, a Glock, probably 4 rifle cases, (and even the cheap ones are expensive there), several box's of ammo as well. Enough that it took both of them to carry it out. Guess what he was driving. Yep, the new Lamborghini. They said Daddy buys him a new car every year. Stores at 41st and Memorial for you guys that live in the area and know Tulsa. They aren't noted for being cheap. Must be nice to have that silver spoon.

Definitely aren’t known for being cheap. But none of the stores in Tulsa are. I used to do a lot of shopping in the store on 51st that’s dedicated to reloading supplies but the prices in there are crazy now.

I work at a public school where it is not uncommon to see 10 Range Rovers, lots of BMW and the occasional Lambo or Mclaren driven by a kid.

I have been there six years.

The happiest kids are in AFJROTC, drive pickups or ride the bus, and go to VO-TECH.

The rest are neurotic

Buys a new one every year before it needs an oil change and tune up because its cheaper.

Lamborghini are are the jaguars (Ford) of Italy. Most 600CC motorcycles are faster than lambos.

What gets me is the Birthday parties that parents throw for their kids each year now. How do they expect the kids not to grow up feeling entitled when treated this spoiled way. I think we just had a cake after a meal when we grew up, it was still dessert for rest of the family.
I can’t imagine owning a vehicle that wouldn’t be suitable to drive on a dirt road.

And if for some reason they lost it all? Wouldn't know how to get by in this world without Daddy's help. Tough old world at times. :(

AND, it's not surprising that someone that has to bust their hump working to get what they want appreciates it more than if it was given to them. ;)
Look at society and see for yourself.:rolleyes:

My Son bought his 1st pickup from me, made payments, and never missed one. Traded it in for twice what he paid on a Civic, and used it to commute to school. Now, in his early 30's he works remotely from his home on an engineering team and enjoys rolling around in a nice A 6. When things aren't made easy for kids early on, later, doing the hard things doesn't seem so hard........Yes, I am very proud of him.......

Regards
Rick

That truck didn't even belong to Jed or Jethro, it was Jethro's mothers. But the one movie truck I like a lot better than the Clampett truck is Crocodile Dundee's, I could drive that over the bridge to Mara Lago, and wave at the Donald as I cruse the beach.

What's the point of this? To display your envy? It's one of the 7 deadly sins. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_deadly_sins
