Rich Young Man at Gun Store

I’d like to verify if money could buy happiness. Those people that couldn’t buy happiness with tons of money weren’t doing it correctly maybe. So if somebody’s got several million dollars for this experiment just pm me. Purely for science.
I would contend that people who say money can’t buy happiness don’t have enough money!
Or they shop in the wrong places.;)

Poor guys Dad buys him a new car every year now he has 6 pages of people telling him what a bad person he is because his family isn't poor.

I certainly hope that no one thinks that that's what I said. Covetousness is a sin. And it's a really big one. I see people with their fancy things, I can honestly say I don't covet them. Well... sometimes I probably do.

Moses was raised as a rich man he seemed to do okay.

My Dad was not a mean man.
But he was a hard man.
When I wanted my first car, he did not give me any money.
What he did was put me to work so I could then have the money to buy it.

Our shop was not much then, it probably cost him more to pay me to work than if he would have just given it to me. But what he instilled in me was priceless.

When I was drafted, and then came home after my two years in the Army, I had a job waiting on me.
I just assumed that I would live in my room for a while. The second week back, he told me that there was only room for one grown man in his house.

He gave me a week to find my own place.

I went in a local store in Tulsa today and in the parking lot was a VERY nice Lamborghini. Anyway I made it in, asked the owner for the scope base screws I was needing and jokingly asked him if that was his car out front. He just smiled. Next to me was a guy in his early 20's and had a stack of "stuff" in front of him. One NIB rifle, a Glock, probably 4 rifle cases, (and even the cheap ones are expensive there), several box's of ammo as well. Enough that it took both of them to carry it out. Guess what he was driving. Yep, the new Lamborghini. They said Daddy buys him a new car every year. Stores at 41st and Memorial for you guys that live in the area and know Tulsa. They aren't noted for being cheap. Must be nice to have that silver spoon.
Posts like this and views in life help me understand the current societal situation we live in. Don't like the way someone lives? Jealous of them? Congratulate them on the opportunities they've been afforded and move on. No reason for the vitriol.

The streets being paved with gold shows that in the scheme of things it is so unimportant here that we use it as one would use cobblestones on earth.

Freedom affords all an OPPORTUNITY for personal happiness. Communism, marxism, socialism appoint a few to take advantage of the desire of the masses for freedom and happiness.
