Review my reviews?

Also I think probably in the US we are a bit more concerned with the privacy of our lives and how we live than to broadcast every facet of it to the world. It's supposed at least, that our government doesn't know about every fire arm we own and where they are....

YouTube is a go too for reviews. I also check this site, and “the firearm blog” on a daily basis, multiple times a day. There are a couple video sharing platforms that are more “gun” friendly than YouTube. If you are doing “print” only and not videos, then I would send some articles to James at tfb and see if he would publish some of your stuff. It’s so easy to get your own blog that if you regularly post there and get one or two articles to get published on one of the sites that had a big following, you would create your own little group of followers.

Some other notable websites that I check from time to time....
Pew pew tactical
Recoil web
Off grid
Soldier systems daily

Good luck, send me some “swag” when you make it!

Wes

FYI I’m 30 and pretty active surfer of the web when running my business isn’t kicking my ass... happy to help if I can.

This forum would be just the place to get information in front of some of the best in the shooting sports. I agree with the You Tube comment and link procedure to make it accessible to people like me that have zero interest in Facebook. Too many people like to cry foul about privacy issues when any entity other than Apple or Facebook are the ones with all the data. Can't figure that one out. And hate low priced WalMart, but love Apple's $1000+ phones, huh?

I’ll second not caring about facesuck. I only had an account for my old business which was a necessity but the first thing I did even before cashing the check when I sold the company was close my Facebook account. Can’t say I’ve ever lost a night of sleep worrying if I’m missing anything.

Ok, it was the second thing I did. That check got cashed first. ;)

Post your reviews right here on this Forum. Facebook is a good place to promote a business, not so much for reviews.

You are free to do what you wish. Myself, I do not read reviews, or what the pros use, no matter how unbiased. If I buy and do not know, I'll trust a friend, we have a circle where we all buy one piece or another, all get to see it. I've wasted more money following advice just on stocks and chassis to make a grown man cry. I even gave a brand of chassis a 2nd chance, right after bolting the action in it I knew I had wasted 900 bucks. A lot of things get weeded out quickly, some remain mainstays.
Lately I see scope reviewers, want to ask what school they went to for certification. It to me is a joke, then individual reviewers argue, classic stuff. Every product hitting the market these days is hailed as better than canned beer by some clown, and we know that is impossible, lol

I dont partake in any book of face either, no ex's to boot. But my wife can find out about any small town rumor mill crap in a couple of minutes on there! 2weeks ago I asked a kid if he was gonna build on to his house for his new baby.--He looked at me real funny because he didnt know yet!! Yep his wife put it on facebook and was gonna tell him when he got home from work--only the news spread faster than she had planned. Local wildlife officers even use it to solve a lot of game violations--the idiots post out of season kills--people are stupid...

I believe facebook and twitter are one of this countries biggest downfalls. Self indulgence world of people seeking approval or validation, or to sit behind a screen and create and enhance chaos. What started out to be a neat way to communicate now divides people, bigtime.
Even a forum like this shares a lot of attributes of FB whether we like it or not.

I thought I would try my hand at reviewing products.

I’m not a professional reviewer by any stretch of the imagination, and I don’t have any ties to any manufacturers - I’m just looking to pass on my honest experience of the various pieces of equipment that I’ve used over the last 37 years, and some of the techniques I’ve tried. Hopefully someone might find it helpful?

I’ve chosen Facebook as a platform initially, purely because it was the path of least resistance initially. I’m open to suggestions, if there are alternative platforms you might favour.

I’d be interested to hear what you guys think of my efforts so far.

How do my reviews compare to the sort of reviews you guys normally like to read? Does a good photo speak 1,000 words etc. Are there any pieces of kit you’d particularly like to see reviewed etc.?

Many thanks in advance for your help,

sorry--did not mean to hi-jack your thread

Yes, and please don’t post on here what your cooking for dinner tonight or what new outfit you just bought!
I did get a new holster for my Sig P938 and I'm going to fire up the smoker this weekend....is that allowed?
