Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

The previous posts congradulated other names. It is a little confusing. Congrats to Alton for another big win.

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

First congratulations to Doug Fletcher and Russ Theurer for putting on another fantastic match weekend, could not have been orchestrated any better and these two really know how to roll out the southern hospitality. Congrats to Phil Crowe, Russ and all the winning F-errrs. Outstanding shooting by all ! Saving the biggest for last, a special Congrats to Tim Kreier, Tn. State M.R. Service Rifle Champion 2014. I fully expect Tim to have his face on a box of Wheaties within the next few months.

Alton won the Mississippi championship the previous weekend, he's shooting well for sure.

Cool! 2 out of 3 are homeboys from Palo Alto. Good shooting my friends -and congrats to the official winners. Sounds like a great match

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

Lets see. The match ended about 4 PM Sunday and you're asking for posted results at 3 AM Monday morning. WTF?

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

Congrats to all shooters - super scores !!

May I ask a possible foolish question, please? Were the distances, 300 yd, 500 yd, and 600 yd for 2 days - 20 shot strings at each distance?

Thanks!

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

That's not a foolish question at all. Yes the distance was 300 yards , 500 yards and 600 yards 20 shots for record each day. 1200 points for a perfect score.

Targets used are MR63, and MR63F, MR65 and MR65F, MR1 and MR1FC.

Thank you for confirming the distances - that is terrific shooting. Only dropping a few into the 9 ring over 2 days of competition !!

I appreciate the target references too.

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

I would also like to thank Doug Fletcher and Russ Theurer for running another great MidRange State Championship. Everyone likes to congratulate the shooters, but without the selfless hard work put in by these two individuals, there wouldn't be a venue for us to compete in. So, once again, from a fellow match director
Thanks! for all the hard work......................Tim "Cross Fire" Kreier Living proof that even a blind squirrel can find a nut, once in awhile.

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

Man that was some strong shooting! Congrats to all. Bill Vaughan

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

I shot my first ever F-Open match at Como MS, last weekend and I saw this young man (kreiert) shoot very strong there, a 598 for top spot. I don`t think you are blind or a hog, just an excellent marksman!!!

Just a wild guess, but I think you might be thinking of someone else (not to insult Tim or anything)...

Good heavens no, please no. ;)

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

Who knows, maybe Tim is sneaking down to Mississippi to shoot F-Open matches and just not telling us. His vocalizations regarding F-Class might just be clever subterfuge!

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

TIm loves us f'er..........
He just don't want his sling friends know.
I overheard him say last summer" why in the@#$%&* do we put on sweatshirts and heavy leather coats when its 98*, we need to be more like the cool kids on the left end of the line and shoot in shorts and tee shirts".

Congratulations Tim(and the others), sounds like you stayed on your target all weekend :)

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

Oh Russ, you've done it now.... I may never see my A.I. again. Or they'll find pieces of it in trash bags scattered all over the state.....

Thanks to Doug and Russ for an outstanding match. Kota and I had a great time. She put up two personal bests and we were both appreciate the amount of work you all have out into this match, from the grass prep, to building targets, to chow. It was a first class affair all the way.

Re: TN Mid Range State Championship

Yes Chris, it was a great match. I've always enjoyed the matches at Memphis. Doug and Russ do a good job running them, we really appreciate all the work that they do to run the match. In the past few years, this match has been one of the better attended matches that I have been to (outside of the nationals), so that says a lot. The shooters keep coming back.
I was glad to see you and your daughter, I think it is cool that you have her shooting with you. We need more juniors for the health of the sport.
