Remington 700 BDL 6BR

I wanted to build a classic bdl rifle using the great 6br cartridge. I completely redone a bdl stock, that took a while. My local gunsmith chambered me up this shilen barrel with a no turn ptg reamer. .60 thousand freebore. Cut to 22" and threaded for my suppressor. I followed Mike Bryant's instructions on the internal box mag, it feeds flawlessly. Bedded the rifle with marine tex. I am using alpha brass. With only 30 rounds down the tube things are looking promising using 95gr bib bullets over varget and 90gr eldx over varget. This rifle is going to be a lot of fun to hunt with. Let me know what you think. What is your go to hunting load for the 6br

I ended up chambering the 6XC over 6BR for a hunting Rifle and have been happy enough to abandon the 6BR idea.

It cuts the classic look but once you shoot suppressed their is no other way in my opinion. Makes shooting that much more enjoyable.

Great hunting build. I love the BDL stock for a hunting rig. I have put 3 together in my life, al in .280. Have fun.

I still LOVE those old classic stocks!!! I think that looks amazing. If I were going to deer hunt I would have an old classic Rem 700. I found one at the gun show in 243, I should have bought it. But I really don't deer hunt. :)
