REM 40X SCOPE BASES

I bought a new Remington Custom Shop 40x in 22BR. I then bought a set of Leupold scope bases #50016 (REM 700 SA)to mount my 30MM Swarovski scope, but the mounting screws are too small. Are these packaged wrong or do I need a special set of bases with larger screws?

Remington uses 6-48 screws. Did you special order with 8-40?

No, I did not special order with larger 8-40 screws, maybe have to call REMINGTON !
