Is that a bald face hornets nest above the window? How’d did you ensure it was empty?Motorcycle lift to load on and home for bullet press. Adjustable height is very handy.

That was something I took into consideration with my current bench and built it bar-height. I will likely do that again. Thanks for the reminder!Tylerw02 a lot of nice loading rooms and ideas, one problem I have is a bench that is too Low. My bench is 43-1/2" high I can stand or sit with a high bar stool I prefer to stand and move. No need for raising presses.
Nothing wrong with a lower section as needed. CSL grandpa
I’m planning to have work benches in my garage as well. I planned to have a place for annealing, lead furnace, and bullet swaging. I also do a little bit of kydex work for holsters and knife sheaths. Right now I have everything in an unfinished room in my basement. Makes me nervous annealing inside my reloading room, though I do take precautions.I disagree with the objective of a combination trophy room - reloading room - study; "trophy room - study" yes, but not reloading. I would encourage you to think about an oversized garage front to back, with the back walled off for a "gun room". A gun room, includes reloading, storage, cleaning & maintenance and repair etc. You are not going to have cleaning and repair in your "study - trophy room" so you'll need another place for it so why not all inclusive to start???
I have the aforementioned setup. Everything in one place, concrete floor with rubber mats placed appropriately, two benches (one for reloading and one for cleaning, maintenance, repair etc.). No issues in garage with smell, spills etc. The most important things to think about right now are not cabinets etc, but wiring, lights and plumbing (shop sink and small countertop - wish I had one...).

That’s really a great idea. I have a poly topped leather workin-cutting bench like that in the middle of a room, it is so handy to circle that bench to get what your after. It’s got nothing to do with being finished but I do something I don’t often see. I have a work bench - maybe 3x6 sitting int the middle of the room. I have multiple presses, vises, etc mounted all around the perimeter. You have 18 feet of edge space to work with. That way I’m not all cramped and staring at a wall while I work. I hang some bright led lights over the center of the bench and it works really well.
Looks like you did pretty good to me, I’ve seen much worse. Nice set up.Terrible carpentry done by myself. I plan to have my father help me next time, he’s a custom cabinet maker by trade, now retired.

We haven’t started building yet, we are in the process of picking out a plan and starting to get utilities on site. It’s about two hours from where I currently live. I’m hoping things will work smoothly and the house will be done and we’ll have time to set things up before our current house sells. This is going to probably take at least a year we are told.Doesn’t look that bad to me! It definitely serves the purpose. Will you be able to prepare your new space before the move or will you have to leave everything packed up while you set up the new room?
