I have a waldog in my vintage collection. Havent shot it since around 1999. It was a good shooter in its time
I used to have a place to shoot a lot moreGet it out of the closet and have some fun
N-135, and RL-15 were good as was.......... A2520 believe it or not!Dan Dowling built me a 6ppc with a 7.5 twist barrel and set it up for 105's. As soon as the snow melts I will be out to the range and update how it works out. Anybody have any input on powder that has worked for them??
It should at least be very close, maybe a tad bit fast but not far off. Worth a try. I've found aa2230 and aa2460 to both work well in a 6 Grendel with 80's. It's a really fine grained powder that meters well, too. Those two are pretty close to one another speed wise. I actually blended them to optimize fill rate and it works great. I tried it because 8208, another good option, was so hard to find. It wound up maybe being the best of them all. I still don't know how temp stable it is or isn't but running a tuner, I don't worry about that quite as much as I use to. Still good to have a stable load, just not a game changer with a tuner, imo.N135 should be the first choice of powder for that id think.
I'm using Vit N540 with 90 Scenars, 105 Berger VLD & 107SMK. Works well, N140 should also be OK or N530 although I understand that is going to be discontinued.Dan Dowling built me a 6ppc with a 7.5 twist barrel and set it up for 105's.
