Ive seen a ppc shoot 65gr bt bullets better at 500&600 than an 8 twist with 103-105. It just falls about 4gr short on powder capacity for the heavies. A 12tw and 80gr works better

Actually very well, it as no speed demon. But at 2650-2750 it would “ knock the bottom out”!

N-135, RL-15, and AA2520 all shot good.

If a 223 will go to 1000 why not a PPC?

GO 1000 VS COMPETE AGAINST OTHER CARTRIDGES ???

they only shoot them at 1k because it is our issue round EXCEPT THEY NEVER SHOOT 55 OR62 NOR 77 AT 1K AND NONE OF IT IS MAG LENGTH. ITS NOT REALLY A CHOICE. have you looked at the size of target they shoot at ??

the 6br bra and dasher will all do much better

I ran a improved version of the 6PPC called the 6mm Fat Rat. ( also called the Turbo 40) 40* shoulder. It would push a 105 Berger VLD at 2800fps. And my 6BR would push a 105 VLD at..... Wait for it..... 2800fps.... With 1 grain less powder for the little PPC/ Fat Rat.
So much fun!!!!!!

Look for 6mm Fat Rat or Turbo 40 and those are both 40* 6PPC with the shoulder pushed forward.
Another extremely fun cartridge is the 224 Grendel, ( 22PPC) Take 220 Russian cases and from the brass. it will push a 88gr Hornady ELD at 3000fps. Run those numbers and you will see quickly that it will run right with a Factory 6.5 Creedmoore.
Lots of fun stuff to do if you like to wildcat!
