My 6x284 has a 261/4" Hart Varmint contour BBL 10" twist. This rifle's favorite powder was H4350 shooting 70gr Nosler BTs and a close 2nd 87gr V-Maxs.I'd load 56.5grs behind 70 gr Nosler for about 3,900 FPS with nearly 1/4 MOA at 100yds.52grs of H4350 behind 87gr V-Max for 3550 with hair over 1/2MOA. But then started loading Re#17 behind 87gr V-Max.(Making long story shorter) stopped at 53.5grs of the Re#17 and produced 3,690 FPS. Then Chronograph quit. Next week at range wanted to discover pressure limits of Re#17 plus new bullet . 90gr Nosler BT started loads at 51.5 and worked up to 54.5 using Norma brass. As I edged closer to max load accuracy increased as did pressure signs ( Shinney ejector marks and stiff bolt lift on REM 700. But accuracy was 1/4 MOA at 100yds. Next weekend I'll have a chronograph.I'll be dropping back charge by 2% . I bet I'm getting 3600 + with that 90gr Nosler. Any how a huge thumbs up on Re#17 and the 6x284
