6x284 and Re # 17

So Re# 17 is special stuff ? My 6x284 likes H4350 ,but Re#17 is reported to produce amazing velocity increases with cartridges suited for its burn rate. Is a 6x284 out of a 26" bbl a candidate ?

RE# 17 is producing faster velocities with no pressure signs with same weight powder charges of H4350. So thumbs up for Re#17 and the 6x284

My ancient post. The 6x284 is history. Haven't seen Re#17 in years. But a new batch has hit the market. Has anyone burned this in any of the Creedmoor cartridges?

While RL17 does well in the velocity dept.
If you're shooting long range or precision matches, sometimes it's hard to get the ES/SD down to acceptable levels.

The Power Pro series has worked well in my 7mm-08AI.
Teamed with PPU cases. Fed 210M and a 140gr Berger VLD I was getting ES-6/SD-2 over 10 rounds.

If you're shooting the 6 or 25 caliber you might want to check out Alliant PP4000MR.
Slower burning for the overbore.

You must be shooting light bullets huh?
The fastest powder I have used in a 6x284 was Re-19
Re-22 is even a bit fast , about on par with 7828
---
My go to is H1000 for anything 105 gr and heavier,
3300 FPS and SD's below 14 fps

Want to share any details?
Sure, whatever you'd like to know my friend
Basics
Krieger, 30", 8 twist,
6-24x Scope
Just tested Berger 105 VLD's vs Sierra 107's this week
---
53.7 grns H1000 / F-210/ S- 107 3280 fps
53.7 grns H1000 / F-210/ B- 105 VLD 3300 fps
Both - Hbn Coated by me
if I were using something like Re-22 or 7828 it would be in the 48.0-49.0 grns range
----------
I'm still playing with seating depth to fine tune the dispersion but
At the moment I am jamming approx .010"-.015" in
as I was reading my Chrono with the Bergers I was seeing
...3000 - 3008, fps
---
The elevation is holding consistent with POA
And group size is holding consistent 1/2 MOA
I printed about 5 groups in a row this size the other day at 600 yds
Not phenomenal, but at least its very consistent and predictable
good enough for rabbit sized kill shots

I was shooting 87gr V-max with H4350 and Re#17 a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.
