It's a good thing I have to run to the airport to get on a plane, or else I would have explained in painstaking detail why Nikon is far superior to Canon. Or something.

Took a bit to post it, but I finally got it done.

I have started cleaning up some pictures; this consists of working with the RAW file, adjusting the white balance, increasing the saturation a bit and in some cases adjusting the brightness to get a nice histogram.

I added a picture taken from the top of the Capulin volcano the day I got to Raton. I also have a picture of the Moon over landscape as I was driving out of the NRAWC after the final awards ceremony.

I notice that the target line has an inclination of about 2.5 degrees from bottom left to top right. I use an artificial horizon to make sure my pictures are level and this slant always appears on my Raton pictures. I would suggest that they rebuild the range to make it nice and level across the whole line.

A final observation, should have used a fill flask for the pictures where people wear brimmed hats. I adjusted the brightness to bring out the faces, but also did not want to burn out the remainder of the picture.

I will slowly add some more in there over time. If you have need for a specific one, send me the DSC number.

Arggh, I discovered that 15 pictures did not make it into the MR portion of the pictures. They were uploaded to NIS, but for some reason they were not added to the album. My current theory is that it's because I used a different lens to take those pictures and somehow NIS did not include them in the move to the album.

The pictures are dsc_2426 through 2453. They were taken with an ultra-wide angle lens at the diner, just before the award ceremony for the MR championship.

I upgraded the Internet connection to fiber over the weekend. Uploading pictures is MUCH faster now, takes about a second per picture and it's that slow because of the service at the other end.

So, I uploaded pictures for Lodi 2016 and Phoenix 2015. Much more to come.
