Rail Guns at 600 yard BR

A .50 BMG and testing rails, I doubt the holdowns would be legal in competition but they help in slowing it down and torque if needed....J

I think that is a little over the edge, but seeing one in a Dasher would be really the cat a$$. but I don't see any advantage over a 130 lb Dasher HG. that doesn't move at all... jim

Jim, why don't you come and shoot one then you would actually know? I know that making assumptions is convenient...

Alex it would be nice but at my age it ain't going to happen..... So you are now shooting matches all day not just in the morning? I Remember this discussion a long time ago.... jim

Jim, some day you might just get some "info correct" I am sure us folks in the North West "rise" before you and settle down to "rest" after you of that I'm sure...

That maybe true but some of us got home from work after you get up then.... jim

Ya its come up, the whole tunnel thing too, ext, ext. I think after the Nats where held here much of that went away. The reason so many records fall here is due to the work and effort put in. No tricks. All I expect from anyone is to have some 1st hand experience behind their mouth. Jim, if you ever choose to come, Im sure we can pool up and cover your expenses.

Alex, it's not that, it is my sight is failing. Was hoping for this year but now it is about shot and I don't think I'll be able to do it next year.... jim

I have always wondered how an AR-10 platform in say 6 BRA would work in an LR/BR rig. Since conditions are an overwhelming factor in LR/BR, the faster one can accurately shoot the better. A rail gun using an AR-10 action in 6 BRA would be interesting. In fact an AR based BR class might help turnout......

might be cool worth a look...

here is a picture of a .084” agg shot by my friend Gary Ocock at a registered nbrsa 100 yard match..

Using his rail gun, this was a 5-shot match, 5 target agg.. he is one of the best shooters on the planet.. slow as molasses, the best wind shooter their is, and tunes like no one else.

To shoot an agg like this, you must chase the tune on every target, knob for every slight change in wind conditions using flags, have the best equipment on the planet... ohh and have 40 years experience.

This is what accuracy is all about..
