R700 case extraction problem

I have a R700 BDL that I had rebarreled, the action trued, and a few other things done a few months ago. After it came back I noticed that occasionally it wouldn't extract the case after firing. I usually could work the bolt a few times and it would pick the case up and eject it but sometimes I would have to use a cleaning rod to push the case out of the chamber. The loads were not over pressure causing the cases to stick and the rest of the time everything worked perfectly. Now it seems to be happening more frequently. What may be the cause and most importantly what may be the remedy?
Additional info: chambered in 300 Win Mag, stock Remington bolt was fluted and trued, approx. 600-700 rounds total thru the action Thanks in advance for any info

it sounds like your extractor isn't always engaging the rim, as opposed to the extractor is grabbing the rim and the round is stuck tight.

I wonder what was meant when it was said that the bolt was "trued"? Hopefully that didn't affect the extractor.

If is a new style rem bolt, then the extractor is cheap and easy to change.

Thanks, I will get a new extractor on the way. I sent the rifle to a gunsmith with a pretty good reputation for doing quality work and everything he did looks and performs excellent with this exception. Thanks

Rem 700 Magnum bolts have a riveted extractor. Most likely the extractor was damaged during the bolt work, either by cutting it with the facing tool or burr if not removed for facing, or could have been R&Red and bent or damaged. Maybe burr raised on the extractor holding it "open" in the bolt face counterbore.
