When you fire the cases, smear a thin coat of sizing wax on the body of the case to insure it doesn’t grip the chamber walls but comes back against the bolt face.so i talked to jim this am. he agrees with short factory new brass to false shoulder for fire forming.

only when single loaded ON THE BOLT, and bolt gauge insertedDid it extract the go/no go gauge?
Both gauges? The reason I ask is clearly, the no-go is longer than the go and if it extracts one but not the other, the answer might be found in that. But as someone else mentioned, tape on the back side of a go gage will skew that from being of any help, as it will simply push the extractor groove further from the extractor. It will need to be the actual no-go gage for it to tell you anything for sure.only when single loaded ON THE BOLT, and bolt gauge inserted
