Quick BRA seating test

I think that comes down to your lot of powder, and seating/load in general. Typically I've had good luck with 205m's with varget. A friend of mine has tuned his in with br4's. I've been doing some testing with 450s lately. Either way, I'd say pick a primer and tune it in.
I have a fair amount of powder/ 500 box of 107 Mk
Typically I run BR-4 they seem to ignite we'll have a strong cup don't pierce, however I'm looking to trim a little off my groups so if I test these in 5 shot groups I will have more data to perhaps make a change -no harm or foul.
Mike You have tried at least two you mentioned just now" how many others have you tried?
If I find a primer that groups way smaller
I would go back and revisit my seating
I may revisit my entire powder charge or just tweak
my goal is to shoot Small and keep learning.
The only way I know how to do that is test.
Would you agree with that?
I'm always listening Brother

Addendum- I need to win one of Alex's new stocks you know:cool:

I have 205m's, 450s, br4's. Somewhere around 5k of each left thanks to the flash sale on br4's. The 4.8" I shot at the world open was with 205s and varget. 205s with varget have been very consistent for me. Banging steel during ridgways championship my buddy using br4's got me by 2 or three points over a two day agg. He was a 58 or 59, I was a 56. I think it's a toss up between those two, specially once tuned in. Sometimes you can get lucky and be really close on tune and a primer swap will put you where you need to be. Sometimes it takes more tuning after a swap to get back to where you were.

Right on
Half the primers on my counter will be bust I'm sure.
Mike you've always had my back and PM with great feedback and encouragement.
Did you find that the 205 primers left a little sticky/funky mess in the pocket compared to br-4 dryer and cleaned easier?
Much Respect
Jim

Honestly I'm not sure i noticed any difference in residue in the pockets. I just use my uniformer to clean pockets every time. One thing i have noticed is as your firings on a case get high, and primer pockets get old and start to get a little loose, the 205's fit just a little tighter than the br4's. At least with the lot I have.

I tried the Fed blue box primers in my 308 and they seemed more like dried tar when I cleaned pockets, the Br primers were dryer cleaned right up although much hotter separating shell from the internal piece.
