quick 6BRA load test

I'll be trying the 103gr Copperheads at 500 metres this weekend. 30.4gr of RL15 showed an ES of less than 10 with an SD under 4...so I'm keen to see if a soft jam gets these things humming.
yeah i will be ordering some copperheads soon to try in my new barrel 6BRA

Interesting... my powder charge test showed that 30.3 and 30.4 with 103 Copperheads were tight so I’ve gone with 30.35gns 2206H, getting an avg of 2990fps.. as soon as I’ve got some reasonable weather I’ll be doing a seating depth test..30.7 to 30.9 had next to no elevation at 200m during testing with speeds around 3025 and also had the best es of 3 to 5fps .. 31gns shot small during testing again but speeds are 3030+.. will test all powder charges with full range of seating depth.. let me know how you get on this weekend at 500..

Will do mate. My initial run with RL15 was too hot - 31.2gr had the Copperheads moving at 3070 - and they grouped terribly (jumped as well). When I dropped back down, 30.4 showed promise. A slight increase to 30.6gr saw average speeds jump from 2970 to 2990 and the ES and SD started to open up. The wind is forecast to be favourable tomorrow arvo over east, so hopefully with a soft jam, these things will perform well. I'll probably load some Berger 108s up just to be safe though!
