I would tighten the neck tension up a bushing size and drop the hybrids. BR4 or 400 with H4895.

tried .003 neck tension and found my rounds so hard to seat with my k and n arbor press. so went back to .002.. rusty tried 400s with his (same gun as mine) and was getting pierced primers..
haven't had a chance to try br4s yet..
I have 3000 hybrids left haha I want them to work haha. they worked great in my 6BRX and 6BR.. hoping to get them working in 6BRA

Be great if my Smith could fix piercing the 400s I like the way they shot... my action is a Stolle Panda F Class with standard bolt and firing pin assembly that comes with them, anything I can suggest to my smith to help rectify this problem?

Cheers Rushty

There are a couple ways to go about it. One is reducing the diameter of the pin. If your Panda has a .075 pin he can bush it down to .062. Also, make sure your spring is 21-22lbs, and fall is close to .250". The other option is adding mass to the pin.

Cheers for the advice much appreciated I’ll talk to my smith.

I've got the hybrids and 4895 working in mine. My 5 shot 200 yard group measures ~.260

I'm running 450s with that load.

I need to shoot it at distance to see what it does but it does repeat this. Haven't tried reloader 15 or varget yet with this br-a. Sierra 107s with the same load shoot the same group at 200. What bullets do you like if you're suggesting dropping the hybrids?

Last year in my dasher it was a consistent 6" gun at 1,000. Same lot of hybrids. I was looking at Barts, but don't have any experience with them. He has two heavy 6mm's listed, which work better ? I'm planning on giving them a call at some point.

I've only ever shot it at a couple of 1k paper matches at Reade range in central PA, so typical mirage. Never shot it early morning to see what it would do. Again that was my dasher last year. I'm interested to see what this does as a br-a. I used varget last year.

105 hybrids rarely hold up well at 1k. Many guys get them shooting very well closer in. If you plan to shoot 600 and less they may work out fine. 105 vlds and 108s are my favorites for off the shelf, Vapor trails 103 and Barts bullets would be preferred

might need to tell ya Alex 99% of my shooting is at 500m/547yards in our fly shoots . I only do F open for a bit of fun.
but I still have 600x 108gr bergers I will test also and see what happens. might even have some 105gr hunting Vlds somewhere to

I’ve got plenty 105vld Huntings if youde like to try em mate..

Yeah I would be shooting the 108 myself over the hybrids. They too hit and miss. That dasher I had loved one batch of hybrids and 2206h, then the next batch were smaller in diameter and shot like crap. Ended up with jlk 105’s and rl15. Slower powder worked well jamming, faster powder worked better jumping. All with one lot of br4’s.

br4s and 108gr Bergers being loaded as we speak to test

Some of my 108s (Lot 9528) are stamped with a G1 BC = .522 and G7 BC = .268

and some boxes (P025) are stamped with G1 BC = .511 and G7 BC = .262

Website still has the .522/.268 numbers
