Questions about chambering a new barrel on my Vudoo V22

I have a Version 1 V22 action in a KRG Bravo stock. I would like a new bull barrel to be added. I am getting a little better informed about chambering reamers and such. I will be shooting of the bench at 50 yards. I would appreciate some advice on this project.

First question: Barrel length, I see many rifles at 20 or 24" length. What should I be considering? Is longer better like centerfire?

Second question: Chambers. I looked at the PTG website (as an example) and see like a dozen different reamer sizes. Then I read about the Nevis size reamer. I don't know which brand of ammo I will use (Eley or Lapua). Is there a set of chamber dimensions that would be a proven formula. I am sure there are variations that various shooters & Gunsmiths use. I would like some guidance if thats possible.

1.5 or 2.0 degree leade
engagement dimension
headspace

I have had really good luck with shorter barrels over the years. That said there is nothing wrong with a 22-26 inch barrel if PRS is your game and you want the rifle to balance better.

Elrod has my Vudoo repeater action right now and is putting on a Kreiger. He will be cutting it off where ever it slugs good at. It is mainly a prone gun so I really dont care how long it ends up being.

Whatever reamer you choose, there are so many better options than PTG. As in all of them.

Is this the chicken and the egg?

Select ammo then the reamer or the reamer then the ammo

I will be shooting off a bench no PRS

First question would be if this is a repeater or a single shot? Some of the tightest chambers will be difficult to feed into from a magazine.

With a repeater I would use the Winchester 52D Match reamer.
Thanks for the concrete recommendation. I see the Winchester reamer is the shortest chamber length of those listed in the chart I posted above.

I will be using either Eley or Lapua ammunition. I wonder if they have different lengths?

My Volquartsen 20" has a bentz chamber. It REALLY likes SK ammo. Eley not so much.
Same with, my 20" Green Mtn., SS Bentz Chambered, 10-22 barrel ( w/ Lightly Polished, "Throat area" ).
Barrel Loves,.. SK standard Plus and Wolf Match Extra, Ammo !
.22 LR, hits Max Velocity at,.. 20-21 inches from, my research.
I Use, a Volquartzen Over Sized F-Pin and Extractor for,.. "Reliability".
If, choosing, a Bentz Chamber, you WILL Need to, "Break / Polish" the SHARP Edges of where, the Bullet meets the Rifling,.. IF, wanting to Extract, LIVE Ammo
